Discussion: Haley: Trump Will 'Do More' In Syria 'If He Needs To'

Yes, and not at all being facetious, this kind of thing might hurt The Brand. If the taint gets bad enough, he might decide to seek other opportunities in the private sector.(Crosses fingers)

I say good. Have at it.

After all, this is what people voted for, isnā€™t it? This will create coal mining jobs. This will create opportunities for tax cuts. And of course, we have an entire hidden army of white, alpha male non-cuck Twitter users who are all ready to go kick ass. (Well, they have to sign up first but still, I am positive they wonā€™t hesitate now.)

Piece of Cake, Part Deux.

But hereā€™s to hoping the 12-week Would Be Reich is as far as we get.

Oh, when a Trump property gets attackedā€¦and at least one probably will, Trump will be sending in the Marines, airborne and everything else he can to defend them and retaliateā€¦ And the GOP will be doing back twists to help him justify it.

All of which just makes them that much more tempting targets. They can pull Americaā€™s strings by merely attacking Mr. High Profileā€™s properties.

Perhaps I should clarify that a bit. We are now in a civil war, shooting at all sides, and with all sides wanting to shoot at us.

Thatā€™s bad. And the potential for things to spiral out of control into even worse and very high.

Her presence on CNN keeps the story alive.

The thing that makes me most nervous about this Syria business actually happened after the Yemen raid. ā€œThey lost Ryan,ā€ he said. What went wrong was someone elseā€™s fault. Itā€™s absolutely as bad as we fearedā€”this mentally ill creature has no regard, none at all, for the responsibility all other Presidents have felt so deeply about the nationā€™s safety in general and the lives of our military in particular. Normality bias made a lot of us assume heā€™d at least be serious about that. But he canā€™t. I donā€™t know what can be done about it if Ryan and McConnell wonā€™t take steps to head off this looming disaster. You folks who pray should go ahead and do that. The rest of us will cross our fingers, hold our breath, and wait.

Well, at the risk of being branded a Pollyanna, some day in the future, when the Russian stink is overwhelming and the Lucy Football GOP senators are wavering, we might have a need for something so outrageous that it finally gives the LF people cover to help get rid of him. Mobilizing the entire military to protect his personal property might be outrageous enough.

OT but reportedly McFarland out at NSC, will become ambassador to Singapore. Widely seen as McMaster consolidating power. Good news.

Rarely has anyone been better suited to a job than McMaster. Letā€™s see if he can put his understanding of history to use.

Oh no, I understood what you meant. I was definitely being facetious because I think your point needs to be pounded out in as many small words as possible for this loserā€™s voters and the country at large.

I keep having this little fantasy than when the next Democratic president is sworn in 2021, terse letters go out to all these scumbags to get out by EOB that day. No thanks, no handshakes, just ā€œget outā€ with an immediate interim appointment, regardless of who it is at the early stage.

Then a massive EO that single-handedly undoes every useless stupid one the UUIS signed. One felled swoop.

And the opening of the new presidentā€™s inaugural speech? ā€œPardon the interruption. America is back.ā€

A guy can dream, canā€™t he?

Interesting. No real evidence that Assad gassed his people. Only that he is a ā€œbad guyā€ I remember another ā€œbad guyā€ was suppose to have WMDā€™s and he didnā€™t. We went to war over the misuse of the intel. Now , Haley is doing the exact same thing and the media are supporting the Syrian strike with the same jingoistic slogans that were evident in pre-Iraq war. Trump is an idiot who is surrounded by amateurs. Canā€™t wait to see what happens in N. Korea where Tillerson is echoing the sabre rattling of Haley. We are about to get a bloody nose or more since we have morons who are in charge of the ship of state.

Does this mean theyā€™ll send Jared?

I loved that! Saw it yesterday. I hope the Twit in Chief sees this. Since he likes pictures, he ought to love it.

You know how, when youā€™re out tossing the soggy tennis ball for Rover to chase and fetch, sometimes faking him out with a pretend throw, or firing off a hot grounder for him to really get down into rabbit-grabbing mode, Olā€™ Rover will suddenly screech to a halt and start gnawing intensely at his hindquarter, trying to get at that flea that just bit him again?

Thatā€™s what weā€™re all waiting for the press to do with regard to the money laundering / election hacking investigation.
