Generally people are very happy with VA care, once they get into the system. I have a letter from the VA telling me I make too much money to be evaluated as a possible client. They don’t even want to know what condition I applied for. I also have a letter from my bank telling me I don’t make enough money to buy a house. And then there is that letter from IRS telling me I did not pay them enough.
Salvaged humor aside, the reasons the VA rejects Veterans have to do with a House of Representatives that will not fund veterans care, after the previous administration decided for no particular reason to invade Iraq and thereby generate many many more Veterans needing care.
Make no mistake. The VA is a very effective government agency that the conservatives intend to destroy.
