They most likely had a no strings attached relationship or a few hook ups. He should have used protection and not rely on the woman to keep herself from getting pregnant.

The way it’s written makes it sound like he was her doctor and not just some lowlife who happened to have a medical degree.

A “Birth Control Pill” needs to be taken BEFORE any zexual activity and on a regular basis. HAS NO EFFECT AFTER PREGNANCY OCCURS.

Abortifacients need to be taken between fertilization of the egg (immediately AFTER sex) and when that egg gets attached to the lining of the uterus (up to several days after sex). Taking it AFTER a confirmed pregnancy test (4+ weeks AFTER attachment) does NOTHING.
Seems he has anger issues. He should be a cop.

I’m truly surprised. I used to live one town over in Hurley, near SUNY New Paltz. Rosendale is full of old tree-hugging red doper diaper baby hippies. They even have an old dilapidated theater playing French movies. Quite a crowd. Hard to believe such a thing could happen there. Then again maybe the woman was you know … not all that “attractive” and the doc was the daddy.
I believe that his profession was specified; but don’t let that get in the way of your prejudice.

The original article doesn’t mention birth control pills, not sure why TPM added that to the article. Maybe it was Mifepristone, which can be taken up to seven weeks after conception. What you’re describing in #2 is a “morning after pill,” which prevents ovulation and fertilization and is not an abortifacient.

This seems like a weird thing for TPM to report on/cover. This kind of idiotic thing (not specifically forcing someone to swallow an abortion pill necessarily) surely happens all over the country all the time, what’s the importance of this that makes it something TPM would cover, who usually sticks to politics, government and larger national stories.
I admit it: I have hugged a tree. So sue me!
