The 2nd Amendment has become the most convoluted statements in the history of the English language. No where does it mention either a “right to self protection” or a “right to rebel against the government”, yet both are claimed by the right as being obviously there.
And yet, the one thing it DOES mention, a militia, is totally brushed aside. Scalia essentially whited it out so it will no longer exist going forward…because, you know, the Constitution is a dead document and all.

I hope his group gets put on a hate list. I and my husband own guns, but would never give money to the NRA or this group. I believe that the stand your ground law in Florida is just a law that gives racists and haters a license to kill.

It always amazes me how many of these types who think armed resistance to government tyranny is necessary are so willing to talk publicly and loudly about that belief. Seems to me that if you feel safe speaking publicly and openly to a stranger about the need for armed resistance against government tyranny, your government isn’t tyrannical enough to justify armed resistance.
