Discussion: Gun Control Group Launches Ads Against Largest US Supermarket Chain

Discussion for article #227199

How dare these moms take sides with their own children over the rights of people like Ted Nugent, Cliven “Ted” Bundy, Sarah Palin and the NRA.

Sometimes it takes a mother to pull an irresponsible, immature and selfish kid by the ear and slap some sense into to them.

Fools. NRA knuckled-under to Target, others. They’ll knuckle-under here, too.

Fools.

Who cares about target? They don’t even sell anything to do with guns anyways, the name target for the store is a joke!

I hope the marketing company that designed those ads gets a big bonus!

There are many starving children in the world and you’re complaining about people “trying to control your gun” instead of doing something useful with your time like feeding some starving children. Disingenuous much?

So, let’s see here:

Piece of paper: tool of harassment

Instrument of death: not tool of harassment

Got it.

You got it? Good!

Free speech (advertising in this case) isn’t harassment - or don’t you believe in the 1st amendment?

What product are they advertising?

So if you spend any time feeding the needy, you can spend the rest of your time lobbying for your position on gun control? All righty. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ted-danson/bloomberg-to-help-save-the-oceans_b_4694948.html discusses Michael Bloomberg spending $53 million to combat world hunger. By your logic, this now frees him to spend the amount of his choice lobbying for his position on gun control. Done and done.

I think oOJamesOo has just squeezed between TGOET and the Poe boundary.

Churches run ads based on their beliefs as do political parties and candidates. There is more than one kind of advertising but you must know that (If your game is to pretend to be unbelievably “naive” to get attention, I’m not playing.)

Such ads provide insight into last week’s article of the snide comments in an NRA magazine about the Moms Demand Action leader. She’s encroaching on Wayne’s World, and his minions are concerned.

“The ads depict Kroger customers carrying rifles standing next to customers holding harmless yet prohibited items such as ice cream or skateboards.”

Pardon me but when did ICE CREAM become a prohibited item at a Kroger’s GROCERY STORE???

You just don’t give up, do you?
Already banned once today and back for more.

edit: I’m guessing this troll will survive the night, but I suspect he’ll be banned by 9:30am or so Eastern time.

They really need to have an ad with a scary looking black guy and another with a scary looking Middle Eastern guy both carrying an AK-47.

That’ll really prove their point!
