Have they been laid off yet?

That’s usually the next step, either that or the company relocates to Vietnam.

(yes, I know the Guardian’s politics and where they’re from)

The parent company is from one of those strange countries where negotiating equitably with your employees is not a reason to get expelled from the country club. Go figure.

Here’s hoping management recognizes them ASAP. Also, have fun writing that collective bargaining agreement!

(Sigh. In the middle of preparation for negotiations, and the collective bargaining agreement is always on my mind right now…)

Well done!

Bravo!

Now, if we could only get more people to unionize! I happen to think that would be one of the most important endeavors those of us on the left could undertake.

It’s puzzling to see how these left leaning or outright far left media outlets are unionizing at an increasing rate. One would think that labor issues should not be an issue in these workplaces…hmmmm!!!

I know, it’s strange when companies actually put their money where their mouth is? Obviously, any reporter in a corporate or right-leaning media outlet knows to just go find another job, since they’ll be spuriously fired anyway if they don’t toe the line.

“hmmmm!!!”

The Beej “tell.” Always reverts, eventually, to the same verbiage.

“The Guardian has a long tradition of supporting union effort,”
The Guardian US was launched in 2011.

Just curious. Why weren’t they a union shop from day one?

And there are many.
Tomorrow we’ll see another ‘shy’ sock appear-- just like Puddles did.
He’ll ‘like’ comments of anyone who is at odds with the majority here-- like he did with MrC for months-- and start posting benign horsesh^t.

Only to worm his way-- eventually-- into his righteous, ignorant voice.
We’ve seen this movie so many times we know it line-by-line.

There was a pool as to who would cause or flag the preordained meltdown.

So obvious. So easy. And he thinks he is being more clever with each incarnation. If I were a kind person, I would pity it.

Because on-line journalists haven’t been considered journalists for too long? I dunno. I don’t know the history except that print reporters have been unionized.

We’ll be waiting when the puppy comes back
