I know nothing about Snapchat. I am clueless in today’s technology

Can some younger person–or hell, I’m not picky, an older person who’s having an extramarital affair will do–who actually knows something about Snapchat tell me whether my sense that this is embarrassingly lame is fair?

Youngish person here who uses Snapchat. Is lame, can confirm. There was, maybe, a way to make this cool with the right effect but that didn’t happen here.

How much did The Constitutional Responsibility Project pay for the app? Bet this purchase wasn’t very responsible…

This is pretty lame.

If the Correspondents’ dinner is part of a live event, I can kind of see what they are going for. But for it to work, it would need to be clever. And it is not.

Clever would be a filter that removed a face randomly from the snap with a similar message. Maybe.

But still, unless this is part of a live event, no one will see this other than journalist, who will see it as spam while looking for the face swap filter.

Well, gamechanger. As long as the Supreme Court votes are done by 14-year-olds tired of using the Snapchat dog face filter.

Advocacy

Here’s the problem with that: if you have a regular email account, then welcome to the social media world.

If you used messenger at one time or went to a forum page (excluding this one, hey Josh) to express an opinion, then welcome to social media.

Social media isn’t really a new function (?) that just appeared. Its however something that often gets misused to the point that even regular users can be befuddled by certain users idiocy

Please expand upon that.

Huh. Who would’ve thunk it.

When I was a boy, celebrities did truly substantive things to promote a cause, like wearing a tiny colored ribbon.

Not young -or having an affair- but it is lame and also possibly inaccurate, depending on how you define the “job” of journalists. Their depiction with a steno pad is quite interesting.
