Finally! Something proactive for a change.

That reactive-only shit was getting tiresome.

That’s right. Tweak. That’s the correct level of action.

This is great, provides reasonable recommendations on tweaks, and takes away any GOP claims that the Dem’s aren’t playing well with others.

Which was always a BS claim anyhow…

A non-consolidated, less corporate media would have called BS on that a while back. As it is, with the MSM seems Dems have to work twice as hard and be twice as squeaky clean to break even with Repubs.

“…a Medicare buy-in for older consumers…”

Start with “older consumers”, to get the camel’s nose under the tent.

Spotlight their astronomical level of satisfaction vs. their personal stories of private-insurance hell.

Label it the “Freedom to Choose Act”, and bloody GOP opponents for wanting to “deny consumer choice”.

Increase pressure, year after year, to lower the buy-in age even further.

Create critical masses of the electorate demanding that option for themselves.

Rinse. Repeat.

(a/k/a “Public Option” by another name)

i get your frustration. and agree. but it was a necessary step to let the GOPs flounder in their meanness and incompetency. their phoniness is now a matter of record.

Republicans are reflexively anti-choice.

It would be just as correct to label it the “Pro-life Act”

There we may get traction.

True, everyone might have forgotten everything repubs have done in the past 40 years.

Well… that record has more volumes than the Library of Congress. But sure, we can always add fresh entries.

I think all 4 women we are sending to Washington are pretty Great.

Though I’m in Carol’s District…

Agreed. And we have a good chance to unload sununu. I saw Annie last week and she said they were going to do this. So much for obstruction, eh?
