I propose Grimes consider a campaign ad saying something to the effect of:
“Mitch McConnell says if you like your Kynect, you can keep your Kynect, nobody’s gonna take it from you.”

Why the long face?
Its rare for a news outlet to take McConnell to task for being blatantly dishonest, a consistent character trait of McConnell’s. Grimes needs to hammer McConnell early and often for blatantly lying to the good people of Kentucky, and hold up a copy of Lexington Herald-Leader while doing it.

In this early round of Grimes v McConnell, are we seeing the Democrat proudly owning the party’s ACA accomplishment? Where better than in a state with ACA implementation that borders other states with none? If so, this bodes well and may amount to a good rollout…what a gift to get things going!

And this is flying under the radar - couple things actually
Which all add up to Republicans not having a prayer of getting back the senate.
In Kentucky senate primaries last Tuesday:
Republicans got a total 355,000 votes in a TEA/GOP race
Democrats got 404,000 votes - with Grimes running uncontested.
Obviously new healthcare recipients are voting Dem.
Just look at the “toss up states” and the dynamics at play,
I’m telling you Republicans are toast.
And then the other thing that is under the radar -
In 2016 there are 23 Republican Senate seats up for grabs -
15 in purple states.
Democrats will have just ten seats contested -
7 in true blue states.
Women will vote in droves against Republicans
to get Hillary/Warren in.
Hispanics will vote in unprecedented numbers to get
Hillary/Castro in.
Then and only then will Republicans change.
I mean hell - yesterday Cliven Bundy left the Republican party.
The House majority will be ours.
The filibuster proof Senate will ours.
The Presidency will be ours.

How about:
Kentuckians love Kynect.
Kynect is one part of Obamacare that’s thankfully working.
But if Obamacare is repealed, Kynect will die along with it.
So when O’Connell wants to repeal Obamacare, you should know he’s really saying that he also wants to kill Kynect.

Great post, but this statistic is a little misleading and I don’t want folks to get their hopes up too much. KY Democrats have long enjoyed huge voter registration advantages over Republicans. Even now, Dems have an advantage of 500,000 registered voters. That doesn’t necessarily transfer into votes for Democrats. The majority of KY Dems outside of Lexington and Louisville are as conservative as Republicans. They’ll vote to send Democrats to Frankfort and Republicans to DC. Makes no damn sense.

In which case you won’t know for sure until November.
But if that shit munching chinless prick manages to convince a tiny-brained electorate that awesome KYNect has nothing to do with Evil Socialist Obummercare…you won’t see a change.

Signups commence again Nov. 15 - is there word of mouth
sort of thing taking place where people are saying “Ya it sounds pretty good after all, I just might sign up too”
Would love to hear of some personal observations if you have the time.
