I wonder how much of Ailes’s negotiated exit golden parachute will go to his victims?

Very sad. Very telling. I hope as many women as possible who were harassed, molested and raped by this man can gather the strength and courage to come forward. I’m especially interested in hearing from all from Ailes’ tenure with ā€˜The Mike Douglas Show.’ Thanks, TPM, for following this developing story.

Her legal team didn’t detail the women’s allegations beyond saying they stem from Ailes’ current role as CEO of Fox News and reach as far back as his tenure as a producer on ā€œThe Mike Douglas Showā€ in the 1960s.

Mike Douglas didn't care if you sexually harrassed women in his employ. But you better damn well stay away from his office boys!

I think Cosby has 57 at last count. Roger has a way to go. But it’s very early yet.

This shouldn’t end with Ailes’s departure from Fox only. I want her to get her day in court vs him, and as an extension, vs Fox (even though technically it was filed against Ailes).

Meanwhile, I’m holding my breath about how this case will develop.

Except Bill’s conquests were actually willing and enthusiastic and their jobs didn’t depend on it.

This is epic! Ailes has been Cosbied!!!

Everyone one of these women/men who were harassed by Ailes is a ā€œenabler!ā€

enĀ·aĀ·bler
iˈnāblər,e-/
noun
a person or thing that makes something possible.
ā€œthe people who run these workshops are crime enablersā€
a person who encourages or enables negative or self-destructive behavior in another.

By keeping quiet and playing along with Aile’s, they proved that is was all about money and fame and not sexual harassment even though on Aile’s part, it was sexual harassment! None these women and men at Fox (Aile’s was more than likely a bi-sexual sexual pervert, depending on his mood) thought for a second about telling Aile’s to stop and walk away! None of them did, the fame and money was more important to them than the sexual harassment!
Aile’s is a creep, but a lot of the blame on those that allowed the sexual harassment to continue on throughout the years!

Donald Trump in 1998: Bill Clinton Is a ā€˜Victim’ of ā€˜Unattractive’ Women

Donald Trump plans to make former President Bill Clinton’s sexual history come back to haunt him by labelling him as an ā€œabuserā€ of women.

Yet nearly two decades ago, Trump verbally abused the very people he purports to defend—and even suggested Clinton was a ā€œvictim.ā€

During an August 1998 appearance on Fox News, the real estate mogul was asked about then-President Clinton’s multiple alleged extramarital affairs and sexual harassment cases. Trump proceeded to rail against the Clinton accusers.

ā€œThe whole thing, it’s just so unattractive,ā€ the orange-hued demagogue told host Neil Cavuto, according to transcripts. ā€œLinda Tripp may be one of the most unattractive human beings I’ve ever seen—not women, human beings. She’s just an unattractive person. This [Lucianne] Goldberg person, her agent or whatever she is, is just a terrible woman. You look at Paula Jones, I mean the whole cast of characters.ā€

He added: ā€œIt’s like it’s from Hell. It’s a terrible group of people.ā€

Seconds later, Trump felt the need to reiterate his obsession with their appearance.

ā€œThe whole group, it’s truly an unattractive cast of characters—Linda Tripp, Lucianne Goldberg—I mean, this woman—I watch her on television, just vomiting. She is so bad. The whole group—Paula Jones, Lewinsky—it’s just a really unattractive group.

ā€œAnd I’m not just talking about physical, but I am also talking about physical.ā€

How do I characterize this man without insulting loathsome toads?

You highly underestimate the cost (and I’m speaking primarily of non-economic cost here) victims pay for going public.

Jerry Springer and a few other morning TV hosts rake in millions parading people across the stage, the audience casting Trump-like judgments all the while. Trump is detestable on that count, but he’s no different than a significant portion of the population in doing it.

And Carlson, et al, should extend the lawsuit to include Murdoch and all the other FOX executives that enabled Ailes to harass for so long.

The harassment lawsuit is against Ailes personally.

Hie employment status has no bearing on the suit.

If you reported for work, cashed your checks, and didn’t establish a paper trail of complaints with your human resources department while doing so you’re in for a difficult slog at trial.

Fortunately, he’s the only one of that portion who has been nominated for President by a major party. I can focus my loathing on him for now.
