Great that the Democrats are playing hard ball here, but let’s get serious. Just among us! If the Democrats want to call additional witnesses, all they need to do is to get these witnesses into the Judiciary Committee hearing room. Then, each Democratic Senator starts their first round of questioning by asking one of those would-be witnesses to stand-up, while the Senator summarizes in a sentence or two the key point of their would-be testimony, noting that the Committee has arbitrarily denied them their right as an American citizen to testify. Then, after each of these would-be witnesses has stood-up and heard their testimony summarized, Diane Feinstein starts her testimony by asking Mark Judge to stand up if he’s in the hearing room. When no one stands up, Feinstein simply says, “Mr. Judge has been invited. It’s unfortunate that he has decided not to attend.” All of this would make much better theater than if Ford got her wish that other persons be allowed to testify.
A little OT, but Norm Ornstein isn’t certain the Goopers have the votes they need sewed up.
And they MUST zero in on Kavanaugh’s credibility, highlighting his perjury on other subjects to undermine his testimony in what will probably be reduced to a he said/she said judgment.
Yeah so what is up with Graham on the talking heads shows saying the GOPers would be hiring someone to do the questioning who knows what the hell is going on if Grassley is saying only Senators will be asking questions of Ford and Kavanaugh then? Can it get anymore convoluted?
Also, make Grassley wear out his gavel. Try to question Kavanaugh about Whelan, even though Grassley will probably try to cut it off.
I am just disgusted with the tactics, attitudes and behavior of McConnell, Grassley and all of the sanctimonious and hypocritical men of the GOP. Why in the world would anyone subject herself to the kind of public attention that Ms. Blasey Ford is going through if the allegations were NOT true? There is just a thin veneer of respect over their actions to control the narrative and push through Kavanaugh’s confirmation. I hope that they end up having to eat their words or that details come to light that force Kavanaugh to withdraw his name. Probably just wishful thinking though…
Sounds like it’s about time for Dr. Ford’s team to file charges in Maryland.
Well, this totally proves he didn’t do it. 
The other option is Ford can hold a press conference afterwards with whatever witnesses she was unable to call. Judge won’t be there but damning passages from his books can be read. I think this could be a very effective strategy.
It’s -projection - it’s what they’d do - find a GOP woman who puts party over everything else and get her to lie. Otherwise it really stupid of them to say outloud that Dr Ford is faking when we all know the price she’s paying. Nobody would ever subject themselves to this if they weren’t telling the truth. Unless they were a GOP op, like I said.
I would like to say, “No.” But I’m no longer convinced of that.

Would a competent female attorney be willing to risk their reputation and go perform as Grassley’s beard? I’m sure the victoria toensing types would jump at the chance for some tv time, but that trump stank, once it’s on you it doesn’t leave. And make no mistake, this is trump’s nominee.
