Don’t forget that Senator Grassley and his office staff were in contact with, and likely already working for Putin and colluding with Russian intelligence during the 2016 election campaign. I would not be surprised if they were probably operating an active cell in the Senate.
Given the highly suspicious behaviors, I am wondering whether he too is a traitor and whether he and his office sold any national security or military secrets. This would explain why Grassley is obstructing any investigation of the Russian attack on the election vote tally and the outcome. He has a vested interest in protecting his involvement in possibly treasonous conspiracy.
More importantly, this raises more questions about Neil Gorsuch. Was Neil a manchurian Supreme Court nominee hand picked by Putin and foisted on America by the compromised Grassley? I hope the the CIA, FBI and FINCEN are looking at all the aspects of FSB infiltration at the highest levels of our government.
The problem I have is, assuming the reality-dots are connected as they are in the TPM worldview, the Grassleys and everyone ginning up their base with this nonsense have to be truly and utterly corrupt and in bed with the Russians. All of them. And they are so cynical, they prefer a Russian takeover to the America they claim to serve.
That’s the only way they’d push this many chips into the middle of the table. They are banking on a Russian takeover of the US. Anything short of that and their scheme is uncovered, and they are toast. I can’t quite bear the weight of that today.
Yeah except this is a serious deliberative body and these assclowns make our laws. And they know now that 1/3 of the country will believe anything they say. They can open an investigation into whether Hillary Clinton is behind everything bad that happened in the last 50 years and their dead enders will believe it. So, yeah, not quite so funny.
Well, we’ve gone from “Sez who?” to “I know you are but what am I?” I suppose before all this is over we’ll have heard all the classic schoolyard taunts from this administration and its henchpersons. I guess if what you’ve done is indefensible this is what you’re reduced to.

I think it is alarming. These people don’t care about anything but their own power and privileges. As I’ve said, i thought there was agreement between the parties on the fundamentals of the country, e.g. separation of powers, rule of law, observance of democratic norms(advise and consent on Supremes nominees) etc.,etc. But these guys obviously don’t. Maybe they never did. How can we continue as a democracy if we have so many conscience-free “lawmakers?!”

The memo won’t tell us anything new, or accurate, about Steele or the Clinton campaign, but will speak volumes about the lack of basic integrity on the part of some republican office holders.
At some point you would hope that these folks would put country ahead of party and Trump. They don’t seem capable of honoring their oath of office.
The trouble with dirty money is it sloshes around everywhere. How could a given candidate demonstrate the donation s/he received from the NRA didn’t have its origins in Russia? And they all got support from the RNC.
Something has really got all these guys spooked. Do not make any sudden movement or loud noise around a Republican unless you are prepared to administer CPR…or not.
