Discussion: Grassley Confronted On Immigration By Man Who Says He Was Afghan Translator

Trump: Afghani will be deported, like tomorrow. He has no right to be here. I couldn’t care less if he helped us. I don’t like terrorists.

Haha. Grassley is such a smug jerk. He needs a few comeuppance incidents like this. These guys forget that they got elected to the people’s jobs, not their benefactors’. So it is pretty uncomfortable when they are reminded of they are and who they serve.

Empty hand-waving that hints at a singular band-aid in this one case is not going to cut it. The problem is the grossly wrong-headed policy of this mis-Admisnitration and you and your party Mr. Grassley.

I am surprised that with the paid protesting that is going on all over the country, that we haven’t seen a spike in the nation’s economy. Maybe everyone is just depositing those checks and saving the money for a rainy day, like I am doing.

In which Sen. Grassley gets his first taste of the new day arising in the US, when the crowd insisted that the man’s question be answered right then, it was the people standing together, for one another. Let it continue!

And that’s how we defeat them.

Oh they don’t like them some reality infringing on their Faux Faux world.
“Where are my sycophants?” he cried out

He is only one of the many we in Iowa need to spoligize fot.

I considered attending this town hall, but it was held far from any major city in Iowa, a two hour drive or more for most people, nearly three hours for me. This was a deliberate choice by Grassley, he wanted to be able to claim to be responsive to his constituents, but in an inconvenient location that made it nearly impossible for a large group to attend. This pattern is also obvious in the town halls of Joni Ernst. These town halls are being held in tiny towns like Maquoketa, Garner, Bellevue, some of these towns are so obscure I have never heard of them despite being a lifelong Iowan.

Iowa Senators and Representatives: I dare you to have a town hall in the State Capitol of Des Moines, in the center of the state so it can be attended by more of your constituents. I dare you to have a town hall in Iowa City, the former Capitol and the center of Iowa political activism.

Show up before your constituents, or else it will be known nationwide what is already known to Iowans: you are a coward, afraid to face the citizens, because you are a Republican tool of corporate interests.

Cowards, and quislings, and fools, oh my!

Hey at 2PM Central Time, MSNBC is about to go live with the Joni Ernst town hall in Maquoketa. You can hide from your constituents but you can’t hide from the camera.

Edit: well that was disappointing. The live shot was about 30 seconds. The reporter explained it was supposed to be a forum at City Hall exclusively for veterans. But unfortunately for Sen. Ernst, the public showed up too. Overflow crowd, as always. I liked the sign behind the reporter: 2018 is coming.

This is a hateful, ignorant response.
