Sources told NBC that Ventry was fired as an adviser to North Carolina House Majority Leader John Bell because Ventry embellished his resume and was accused of sexually harassing a female employee on the state assembly’s Republican staff.
He’s fired in North Carolina and moves to another parish, er, republican staff position in DC and continues his fun and games there.
No one told republicans about his history before he was hired, or no one cared. I think we all know the answer to that.

I get why the sexual harassment charge gets the headlines, but it seems they buried the lede here. Whalen gets caught doing oppo research on Dr. Ford’s LinkedIn page before her name is public. Everybody wonders how he got her name. A few days later, it turns out a former coworker of Whalen is a GOP staffer pushing the Kavanagh nomination. Weird coincidence…
Grassley should step aside as chairman of the committee. Now we know , in addition to his obvious misogyny, he knowlingly hired an accused sexual accuser to help appoint another accused sexual assaulter to the SCOTUS. My god when will they stop this flawed fraudulent process beginning with a confessed sexual assaulter and admitted fraud under investigation who has nominated this obvious perjurer and accused assaulter to the court.
Some on twitter are reporting this guy was on leave from CRC Public Relations to work for the Senate judiciary committee. Also he is said to have just resigned from his position at CRC and his resignation has been accepted. FYI CRC was the PR firm responsible for the Swift Boating of John Kerry during the 2004 Presidential election.
