âSo my advice to the President would be, âYou come up with the border security plan thatâs reasonable that will secure the border.â
Dear Ms Lindsay;
The Republican party does not do reasonable
Ever
In your wildest dreams how do you get Reasonable with the FreeDumb caucus
whoâs mission is to sink the US government unless they get everything they want.
And they donât want no stinkinâ immigrants.
We should put a bunch of tarantulas on the border. Everyone is afraid of tarantulas.

Sen. Graham sounds reasonable here. But not realistic - as he knows lecturing Trump does nothing. He doesnât pay attention, and âBorder Securityâ doesnât get the same crowd/rally reaction as âBuild That Wallâ and certainly doesnât lend itself to a call and response with the crowd when Trump says âWhoâs Going to Pay for it?â
That said, it is always a little fun to read when a GOPer in congress condescends - er - gives advice to mindless Donthecon.
The border wall is a multi-billion dollar kickback project in the making. Every firm awarded a bid will be pressured to show their gratitude to Trump by donating money to campaign PACS supporting GOP candidates. Half assing the project with some fencing, some drones, some extra guards and other trivial measures doesnât get the ROI a full blown wall reaps. For Trump the wall equals money in his pocket.
Suggested greeting Congressional leaders should offer isolated Trump:
Long time naziâŚ
Graham to Donald Trump: âYou need to come up with a planâŚâ HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA! Give an example of anything Trump has done that is based on an actual plan. Please. Trump has no actual plans or policiy designs. Heâs an idea guy, planning is work for minions, like congress. ACA is a perfect example, Trump said he had something âbetter, cheaper, covers everybodyâ and praised the house bill which did none of those things. Con men donât plan. And, clearly, neither does the GOP. Remember Clinton and all of her detailed proposals? Just another liberal, thatâs all they do. This is Ameruca! MAGA is all we need!
âAnd in return, Democrats, they are going to have to understand that most Americans want to treat these kids fairly but also want to secure the border. Thereâs a deal to be had here and the Presidentâs got to help sell it.â
UmâŚhereâs whatâs going to happen. You are going to let those kids go or you are going to get tagged as a blackmailerâŚAGAIN. Amercans may not vote for cowards â which you have worked diligently to portray Democrats as â but they DEFINATELY will have nothing to do with blackmailers. You should have learned that seven shutdowns ago, ESPECIALLY after the disastrous 2013 one when the Democrats would NOT EVEN TALK TO YOU.
and
Itâs about the symbolism, you dunce! Nobody who wants the wall gives a crap whether it does anything or not.
Telling cheetolini that he needs to take advice? Letâs see how that goes over in the white house. Sounds like Kelly will be gone soon.
The goal here is not to be reasonable or realistic. The goal is to dodge the blame for Congress doing nothing about the Dreamers and shifting as much of that blame as possible back on to Trump. That is the only goal Graham has here.
Foolishly, Graham suggests that Trump seeks and accepts advice. Trump only has uninformed, preconceived notions and he doesnât change his mind. His ego is paramount to everything else, including the national interest, decency, humanity, party, morals, legality, the U.S. Constitution, ethics. Shall I go on?
How screwed up does our country have to be when Lindsey sounds reasonable?
(Note: Itâs a rhetorical question.)
Extremely.
(Note: Itâs a rhetorical answer.)
Graham and Ryan both said basically the same thing today. The GOP is going to link a solution for the Dreamers to funding for border security - which in Trumpâs mind means the wall. So, their goal is to blackmail (thanks for the word, fargo116) Dems into a very difficult position: âFund the wall or the Dreamers are out of here.â Isnât that the message? Or am I missing something?
The problem is Graham thinks heâs plans and ideas are reasonable.
