I do not get the whole “not honoring a deal”. Nobody has done that before, that I can think of offhand but it is a battle cry now. The issue is, once the deal is struck there are more issues at play. The US deciding to go in alone will have minimal impact on things. The main reasons sanctions were effective at all was because it was a world decision to do it.

And really, given the leverage that the US and other nations had over Iran here, it seems to be that they probably got what they wanted out of the deal. There will be arguments from either side about what words mean. There always are. It is just the nature of these things.

I am not sure if the GOP wants to have been able to go in and smash everything themselves or to basically make Iran stop existing. I am not sure of the details of the plan but I feel most of the talking points coming out were prepared around the time the talks started. They were default things that were ready to go.
