Republican Congressmen: Obama needs to do something! He has to lead! He can’t keep leading from behind!

Obama: I am ready to take military action if the Syrians do not give up chemical weapons.

Republican Congressmen:  Obama can’t do that! He’s not a dictator!. Only WE have the authority to declare war!

Obama: I still feel I have the authority to act militarily, but I also feel that our position would be stronger if we as a nation were united on this. And I also recognize that many in Congress have strong opinions on this issue, and I welcome their input.

Republican Congressmen: (crickets)

It’s kind of odd to see so many commenters on a supposedly liberal web site making fun of Graham’s rather affected speech tone by calling him “Miss”. Is that supposed to accomplish anything?

That said, yeah he’s totally full of shit. Saying that it was wrong for Obama to not arm the “Free Syrian Army” three years ago, even though some of those people later turned out to be ISIS. Yeah, convenient how he always glossed over that part.
