Discussion: Graham Defends Sessions From Trump's Latest Criticism Of Attorney General

Ryan (House) never served for years with Sessions. Just a little context about the Senate “boys club” aspect of it.

Let Sessions be gone and then sing like a bird about the corruption of everything Trump. So be it!

I think potentially more than Comey’s. Session is one of those guys who “know too much.” He was there from the start of the Pee campaign, was deeply involved in it, and knows exactly for what he was put in the AG position. Unlike Comey, he knows it first hand, from inside, as well…

This is one of those last people Pee would want to alienate and have turn on him. But this is the bigliest narcissist on earth right now, and he’d do anything in desperation to remove what he considers to be the very reason for his trouble and depression.

Rule of law?

Sessions just pushed for asset seizures without even a hint of due process.

Is Lindsey high from huffing his snuff box again?

Do you think Sessions would really pull the temple down on his own head (to use a classical metaphor)…?

Sessions would be spilling beans on his own criminality.

Yes, I know. But this usually would have been a prime grandstanding opportunity for the “Look at me, I’m a sincere, serious man with integrity!” Paulie. He isn’t taking such opportunities anymore about Trump.

Sessions is a fish, not a bird. And as the soon-to-be-former AG, he’s too big a fish to cut a deal like that.

Don’t get me wrong, that’d be great, but the only way someone in his position “sings” is if they weren’t really guilty of any misdeeds themselves. And there is zero chance of that here.

Good point. I guess that depends on the size of fish he is…

Point taken, but Sessions is being scorned, has to be pissed, and he could sing “sub rosa” within ear shot of a plant…

Trump’s going for a 3-fer here. (1) Pressure Sessions to resign, thus clearing the way from a “loyal” non-recused AG who can fire Mueller if Trump decides to go that route (2) Counter the Russiagate narrative with the false-equivalency-fest of Ukranian meddling allegations. and (3) Change the subject to Hilary’s “crimes” and provide scapegoats (Sessions and McCabe) to explain to the base why he has not kept his promise to prosecute “Crooked Hillary” and “lock her up.”

Jeff Sessions Is Growing ‘Pissed’ at Trump His Allies Say. And He Doesn’t Plan to Quit: The attorney general is growing angry with the tweets and the treatment. Unlike other Trump Cabinet members, he has the capacity to stand up to the pressure.

Aaand, this. “Fate.” Hmmmm…

I’m glad Keebler flew too close to the sun! He deserves to have his ass handed to him, but not because the Orange Pee Stain says so.

But Lindsey needs to butt the Fuck out of it. So we should feel some sympathy for poor beleaguered Keebler? Lindsey, your comments are worthless like flatulence on the wind!

Let’s be clear: Trump isn’t upset about the recusal, per se, he’s upset that Sessions hasn’t stopped the investigation.

So, Senator- when Trump does fire Sessions, whaddya gonna do about it??? Whinge and whine and proclaim it unusual and unbecoming and out of bounds? GOP separation of powers?ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz…

The Senate is a small and tight club–they actually believe in decorum and protocol (well, most of the time until lately). They are also loathe to criticize each other openly. The fact that rump is attacking one of their own when he needs their repeal vote is proof that rump is a total, clueless idiotic loser lardass.

Yes, let’s not politicise law enforcement, and then in the same breath emphasize the conservative credentials of the AG.
