Gotta keep himself in the headlines…

(Although this time I agree with his actions, probably for the first time…)

But, BENGHAZI!

And her emails…

And while waiting for those travel records, how about looking into
–Trump’s gouging the Secret Service budget
–Whether the deaths of 4 Green Berets in Niger were preventable
–WH not using official phones and email or retaining proper records
–ad nauseam

…and I’m sure Ms. Huckster Sanders will insist that Trey and Elijah are just ‘politicizing’ the issue by requesting those records.

Given the prejudices that most of the right-wing possess, embodied in their popular-vote losing narcissist leader, one really wonders how someone as strange looking as Trey Gowdy ever won a Republican primary.

Of course, I suppose one could say the same of said popular-vote losing leader too.

It’s obvious that some people rooted for Draco Malfoy. Now we know where many of them live…

Why wait? The Departments of Justice and Agriculture have clearly decided not to comply.

Just send the subpoenas now.

LOOK TREY…
As a friend†
You’re wasting your time trying to look legitimate. Nobody’s fooled,
You’re not going to subpoena squat.
You’re still hoping for that “trade exchange” junket headquartered in the Moscow hotel that the Badministration has promised you.

†

Y’know, Moscow Hotel…
(nudge, nudge, wink,wink,say no more)

I’m guessing you’ve never seen members of Congress so happy to have a headline-grabbing but mundane scandal like this to investigate rather than investigating the nature of that gigantic elephant sitting in the room and how, exactly, it got there. Nope, sorry, busy with this travel thing. Busy, busy, busy. Very busy.

Don’t forget what happened in Niger. If Benghazi was all the rage then this certainly should be. Green Beret traveling in unarmored pick up trucks. Neglect on Trump and Tillerson’s part is it not? Isn’t that the standard the GOP set?

The committee also sent an additional request to all agencies for information on the travel options during the last few months of the Obama administration.

Even they know they'll get a faster response by mentioning Obama so the orange one will knee jerk and say "No administration has flown more than mine! Bigly!"

The White House responded to the committee’s request, which was sent to chief of staff John Kelly, earlier this month and told the committee that Kelly was not in charge of travel requests from all components within the White House, per Politico. The White House told the committee to direct its request to the different components within the White House.

"I'm sorry this number has been disconnected. Please try dialing again. Beeeeeeep!"

Since there aren’t any media outlets screaming about the Niger incident, it didn’t happen, silly.

I read a recent op-ed (I think LA Times) that compared the Harvey Weinstein behavior/story to Trump: complicit silence over years (in this case, months). And it will explode and backfire just like Weinstein. I can only imagine what will come out about this “administration” after it’s dead and gone. Call me a crazy optimist, but I do believe they will pay a price - a big one.

You’re a crazy optimist. I mean, I’m with you, but, it is just optimism… and the triumph of hope over experience.
