The great irony of all of this is that a good portion of FBI agents (if not a frank majority) are Republicans. That the Republican Party is savaging the FBI and completely undercutting their attempts to enforce the law must really be a hard pill for these Republican agents to swallow. Not that any of this will change their political beliefs. It will make them wince a bit more while they’re trying to defend them, though.
