The key point is, if you didn’t rob the bank, you don’t have to worry.
If you DID rob the bank, thinking you’re going to outsmart the prosecutor is a very bad idea.
No wonder Trump is walking around shitting in his Depends. Either he lets Mueller proceed, with calamitous consequences; or he fires Mueller, with calamitous consequences; or he sits down with Mueller and tries to bullshit him into letting him go, with calamitous consequences.
Oh, yes, come on, Gowdy-Doody – shame Sparky into talking with Mueller. Please.
It would make so many of us happy. Really. I’ll even share my popcorn with you while he does!
I sure hope it’s televised…
I think this may be the first time ever I agree with Representative Trey “Whack-a-mole” Gowdy…
On the one hand, “if you have nothing to hide, you should be anxious to talk to the cops” is a terrible, terrible idea in general.
On the other hand, I really want Donald Trump to do it.
Either he is blowing smoke or he really hates Trump
Actually, I am not so sure Spanky is worried. All he heard was (and I paraphrase here) “no collusion! no collusion!” when all Mueller was saying was that Spanky wasn’t a target yet. (Plus, he doesn’t understand what “obstruction of justice” actually means, because he thinks it’s just “normal business.”)
A couple more folks like Gowdy telling him to go for it may inspire him to ignore all legal advice. Right now Spanky’s enjoying being “unchained” and is firmly convinced that he is smarter than everyone else.
I say, go for it!
Deciding not to run again is so freeing.
Whatever. All that matters is what the fox news stars are advising him to do. Are they telling trump to run and hide or not?
I’m sure at moments, when he gets a bit of good news or news that seems good to him, he’s elated and carefree. But the next bit of news can bring it all crashing down and send him into a terror-inspired rage. He doesn’t have a normal person’s capacity for equilibrium or perspective.
I also think if he has any capacity for judicious wariness left, it’s about the legal world. He’s known to lie much less under oath, and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t much want to go to jail. He thought he was outsmarting everyone with his crimes, but he doesn’t really want to testify about them, I’m pretty sure, and I even think he’s grasped that firing Mueller could make his problems worse. He might yet do it, if he gets desperate enough, but he hasn’t yet, and it wasn’t concern for the rule of law that held him back. Just my hunches, obviously.
Yeah, Don, listen to Trey. Even if you do have something to hide, you’re smart enough to con Bob. Go on. Nothing worry about.
First, decide not to run, and then, and only then, tell the truth. Proceed ONLY in that order. Sad.
He conflates everything in his head: Base unhappy with lack of progress on wall, rile up, they will love me again, Russia won’t matter, ratings high. Eat French fries.
OT but why hasn’t he tweeted about the female shooter’s Arabic name/origin?
Surely Gowdy knows that 45 “robbed the bank” - that there was collusion and conspiracy with the Russians by his campaign team AT LEAST. But Trump is a micro-manager, he wanted deals with various Russians, he had to know what Don Jr was up to when he met with the Russians in Trump Tower…
Translation - I am going to be running to unseat Trump in 2020. If he refuses to sit down with Mueller, Trump is guilty.
Absolutely right. If he was educated beyond the second grade, he would realize that he still is in legal jeopardy and should be scared shitless.
Very true. They should tell him to “man up” and face the investigators and prosecutors and give them a talking to.
LOL, sucker.
It’s obvious Gowdy’s advice to Trump is from the vantage point of a former prosecutor. Competent defense attorneys commonly won’t even let their clients on the witness stand at trial
Gowdy knows tRump is guilty. He’s positioning himself for a presidential run against Pence in 2020.
