Excellent. Now imagine if the DOJ had spent this much effort figuring out where the tiny, tiny inauguration funds went.

The first trial ended with acquittals for all six defendants. After that defeat, the government dropped charges against 129 defendants

But a second trial for four people in May ended in acquittals on most charges and a hung jury on the rest.

Activists credited a unified defense strategy with prevailing. This strategy included persuading defendants — sometimes over the objections of their lawyers — not to accept plea bargains.

Three things worth noting:

  1. No one would accept plea bargains.
  2. They all demanded jury trials.
  3. Agolf Twitler received a whopping 4.1% of the vote in the District.

Will the prosecutors be charged or held accountable for malicious prosecution?

Well that was another colossal waste of money by another republican run government.
How the hell did they ever get the misnomer of “fiscal responsibility.”

Nasty filthy degenerate republicans need punishing.

The act of corralling large numbers of people and charging all with a generic crime (dissing His Highness) has always struck me as a foretelling of Trump’s nascent admin. I am waiting for this horror show to come tumbling down. Hope he doesn’t destroy us all before that happens.

So much winning, we had to build this big swimming pool to hold it all.

Hate to say it but . . . They harassed these folks for a full 18 months (with all of the anxiety that hangs over people’s heads in this kind of situation), drove up the costs of a legal defense on the taxpayer’s dime, and pulled out of the prosecution before losing the cases in a very public way. That result, in the twisted logic of Trumpworld, is considered to be a “win”…

He should thank the protesters for making his inaugural crowd count look bigger.

Been watching this from the start. Such good news! It’s so wonderful - because it’s so rare - to see a full victory for the side of good these days.

Unbelievably awesome! The discipline to not take a plea deal is just incredible.

Don’t forget the names of the Prosecutors and police involved. They have secrets too. Extramarital affairs, drug use, falsified time sheets … it’s amazing what mischief the most self righteous among us is up to.

Do unto them before they do unto you!
