Discussion: Gov Snyder To Drink Flint Water For At Least A Month To Prove That It's Safe

Waterboard him with it.

Safe for Governor Snyder, maybe. Elevated levels of lead in the body are known, for instance, to produce persistent cognitive defects, but Gov. Snyder couldn’t get any stupider if he tried.

I’m torn between:

a) He’s already brain damaged, what is it going to do to him?

b) I want the water traced from faucet to gullet, with individual citizens of Flint volunteering their homes to be selected from a random lottery.

“What better way to help show support,” said Snyder.

By immediately resigning, admitting your party is an evil cult of blood-gargling money worshippers, giving away everything you own to the poor, becoming an organ donor, and sucking a tailpipe?

If you don’t like that one, I have more….

He said he understands people feel that if officials say the water is OK, then he should drink it, too. “What better way to help show support,” said Snyder

What better way you worthless shitstain? How about:

  1. paying for the removal and replacement of all lead pipes in Flint (100% state money)
  2. paying all affected residents’ back water bills as well as future bills until their pipes are replaced
  3. funding 5 years of free yearly lead tests for all Flint residents
  4. funding treatment for all poisoned Flint residents
  5. after all of that…leaving office and never being heard from again

AAAAAGGGHHHHHHH these fucking fuckers!

You can be sure that Snyder is cherry-picking the pipe system that his water goes through between the Detroit system and his kitchen faucet.

This guy’s scientific ‘cluelessness’ knows no bounds.

Negative effects of heavy metal contamination do not always express themselves so
quickly. Neurological effects may take much longer to manifest themselves.

And not all people are equally affected by the same level of contamination. Has he ever heard of the term “LD-50”?

This reminds me of Governor candidate C. Montgomery Burns trying to eat the three eyed fish from the water by his nuclear plant.

i was going to ask who was supplying the water

A task force appointed by Snyder has said the DEQ was the primary culprit because

…it was the DEQ who had the legislature pass, and the governor sign, legislation that took local government out of the hands of locals and into the hands of governor-appointed assholes who care only about spending as little as possible.

It wasn’t? Then “primary” belongs on some other culprit.

Piker. He should also use Flint water to bathe in.

No, no, no, he’s just making sure it’s coming from the Flint-based “Dasani” water distribution system

It’s about time. But I think he should be drinking Flint water without a filter for at least six months.

I also think he should resign his office and spend the remainder of his life assisting in the replacement of the lead pipes that are poisoning the citizens of Flint.

instead of drinking it - couldn’t there be a way to administer Snyder’s lead dosages trans-cutaneously in high-velocity solid form?

Spike the Governor’s glass with hemlock.

Gosh, what a magnanimous gesture. What a swell guy.

Sorry dude - you want to show your support? Have your children drink it, bathe in it, wash their clothes in it. Then come back in 20 years and do it again with your grandkids. Then I might believe your intentions.

How about his grandchildren? Let’s see if his own children trust Snyder enough to risk their kids’ health and lives.

The trouble with Snyder’s stunt is that he’s already got a head start, so to speak, on mental retardation. When the lead kicks in, who can tell?
