Next desperate bleat will be…what?

Suicidal: no government worker will ever vote for him. The gotch-eyed Koch-fellating little bastard doesn’t understand he’s not in Wisconsin anymore.

I understand he also plans to fire all teachers and to declare all black people slaves again and all women property.

And people were scared of this guy?

I’m glad he put this out there, because now every republican owns it unless they specifically disavow him.

Privatize Privatize
Dance to the Music!

This man is a fascist. In this case it is not hyperbole. Listen carefully to him. He blithely makes statements that disregard the most basic tenants of democracy. If he acquires national office the country is on a path that is no better than than Germany in the 30’s. This man will convince large numbers of people in this country that they are in such danger that he must act against some of us to save the rest of us, a receipt for authoritarian rule, and the downfall of our country as we had hoped it might be.

I think this is a smart move by Walker, at least at this point when there are 15 other people fighting for the nomination. There might be 10 or 20 percent of GOPers that are rabidly opposed to unions, and Walker might move up in the polls. He has to do something to distinguish himself.

Now, in six months, when there are only a few people running, this is going to come back to bite him (assuming he’s still in the race) but he will address that problem when he gets there.

Mark my words – this is really going to help his poll numbers. Coming out with this right before the debate is surprisingly smart as well, as he’ll surely bring it up on the 16th – and it will make a big impact.

Walker may not be that smart, but he’s got hundreds of billions of dollars behind him; he is a puppet of the Koch Bros. and they will do anything to get what they want.

The Koch’s own personal buzzard – He’ll pick at the workers bones even after there is no meat left —

Walker is just auditioning a Fox reality show he’s going to host post-Governor employment. “Pissing on the Proles” will feature laugh-a-minute hidden camera clips of workers being fired, getting injured on the job, being told their benefits are denied, finding out their pension fund is dissolved and other hilarious hijinks. At the end of every episode an OSHA inspector will arrive home to find a sack of burning dog shit on his front porch and his windows soaped.

I’m really hoping that you’re wrong here but…I’ve been proven wrong a few times in this election season myself so I['m open to listening to ideas.

Here’s the thing for me: I know that the GOP will always vote against it’s own better interests in the hopes that their candidate will crush some other group even harder. Is this really going to play with those Rethug voters who are Union members (gov’t or not) themselves?

Sure it will. It’s those guys that work for those other unions that are a gang of lazy, time clock milking, grievance filing thieves, not them!

Experts were taken aback by the scope of Walker’s proposals…

Than they are shitty experts who need to wake the fuck up and start paying attention to what Walker has been doing in Wisconsin.

I understand the motivation behind this move, and agree that its the logical step for Walker. But I am not convinced its going to move him up in the polls.

Its clearly an issue he owns, but it’s not an issue that is going to catch as much traction with the GOP primary voters as say, immigration has.

Further, its an issue that has many pitfalls. For example, Walker has been running around crying about the “war on cops”. Its pretty hard to square that, while at the same time you are advocating nationally for the dissolution of police unions. The actual police union leaders, who are not shy about getting in front of a camera, will come out against him on this in droves.

Plus, the only way he could move on this, is to essentially make it the be all, end all of his campaign from here on out. That would require such a massive commitment to messaging, that he would be totally unable to pivot away from it in a General. And its a huge loser in a general election.

Yes, every 4 or 8 years the whole government will be cleaned out. That such a good idea, because the long time employees are the ones that keep asshole appointees and elected officials out of jail for violating this or that law they think they can break.

Ask Wisconsinites if people should be scared of Walker. Ideas are fungible; if this anti-union attack polls well among the GOP base, look for other candidates to become openly supportive. Another fungible thing is the $$$ that the Kochs and other big money backers will transfer to a more viable candidate who will get with the program.

“None of this intimidates us,” Walker said

Hmmmm, what about the police, trooper and fire fighter unions in Wisconsin? Aren’t they still active?

Believe me, I hear what you’re saying. It’s just that it’s so very extreme, I have trouble wrapping my head around the idea that it’s even being floated. I guess we’ll see if it gains traction with the GOP base…
