Well, given the instability of the egos involved, Dear Leader’s twitter feed might be powerful enough to cause Kim to attack South Korea. So Gorka might be right about that.

What we have is one clown talking about another clown in clownish terms that mean nothing in the real world. China knows Trump is an ineffectual dupe who can be trifled with. They might have some residual concern about confronting the United States as an entire society but they can nibble away at the margins with no worries. We won’t be able to bring any serious influence to bear on the world scene for a long time.
Does anyone else feel the Trump phenomenon has taken such serious downward lurches in the last few days that it’s a frightening threat to our stability as a nation? God knows I want him humiliated and gone, but JFC this is not a good way to run things. 
Just wow. This bunch has jumped the shark so many times it’s surreal. How long can this go on?
Not sure he “won an election” due to his Twitter output. He used twitter to lie as well as rallies and press appearances. His Twitter activity was just one of several pipelines he ran lies through. But…his tweets of late have helped make him the most unpopular POTUS in memory. I’m pretty sure China is on to that.
I keep hoping I will wake up from a bad dream and it is really last November.
These are not normal people.

Well for awhile. Today it was just: The wall was metaphorical…no one thought Mexico would pay and “don’t tell the press your aren’t paying”…which seem to jive pretty well. Then we leaned that after a lifetime of holding the wrong impression the Statue of Liberty is not about welcoming immigrants. And we learned the power of Twitter over Diplomacy. There’s lots more room and time for nonsense.

I can’t believe he didn’t mention the red hats. He has red hats too. He won the election with the red hats. And those Chinese lo-o-o-ve red! Their whole country used to be called Red China! Many people never knew that.
This is the reason I’ve been coming back to an actual trade war between America and China. As things progress (and they’re at a pretty good clip now as mattinpa says) his Twitter feed will get more unhinged. Because it reflects him. China is going to have to take material steps to put the regime in it’s place.
Also, I don’t think we should discount the need for Xi to save face from an entitled, deranged buffoon.
