Discussion: Gorka: 'Most Important' Part Of Trump Speech Is Phrase ‘Radical Islamic Terrorism’

We can’t defeat ISIS unless we say the exact words:

Wise man: When you removed the book from the cradle, did you speak the words?
Ash: Yeah, basically.
Wise man: Did you speak the exact words?
Ash: Look, maybe I didn’t say every tiny syllable, no. But basically I said them, yeah.

They miss the point completely. “Jihad” is a sacred concept to practicing Muslims- it does not mean holy war, it means “struggle.” Usage of this term loosely would be akin to a racist extremist Christian calling a lynching “crucifixtion” or eating spam as a "Eucharist. "

It’s not that hard to grasp why this verbiage is inadvisable. Even to an infidel agnostic such as myself.

NPR should warn people in advance if there’s a chance their alarm will cause them to wake up to Gorka ranting. Damn, not a good way to start the day.

The depth of the instant about face media love affair with Trumpenstein feels familiar…like a deja huh.

57% of those polled think even Trump’s hands got bigger last night.

“Global Jihadism” sure sounds a lot like 43s “Global War on Terrorism”. Now will sessions grant the orange douche the same powers woo did for 43 in forming the basis for unilateral executive authority?

Were looking at a repeat of the failed unilateral foreign policy of bush /cheney that created ISIL. Thing is i dont think theres enough americans willing to repeat the failures of the 41 and 43 middle east policy or commit there children, or family members to fighting in the interest of the defense and oil industry…at least i hope thats it…

first thing that came to mind is that the MSM is really trying to normalize his presidency and give it legitimacy it didnt have till last night.

Gorka is a ridiculous cartoon of a man. The perfect fascist right down to the spittle on his chin and the defensiveness in his voice.

Completely unrelated to this other than the “most important” part. I heard a couple co-workers talking about the big stock market surge today. And I was thinking about all the folks bragging on Dubya when the markets almost reached where they’d been when he took office right before they fell off the cliff. It will be interesting to overhear what they say when it tanks on Trump. I’m thinking that will happen shortly after he implements something, it goes for a bit, and people realize it’s not actually helping anything.

Nice comparison chart

Could Gorka be any more creepy looking?

@squirreltown… I still think there’s something terribly wrong with his face/forehead size… :expressionless:

No he couldn’t; none of them could. They look like a lineup getting ready to be tried at Nuremberg - all of them. Put Gorka next to Miller and Bannon and that is enough to make anyone want to run screaming right the hell out of the USA.

It does me anyway.

Yeah he could look like Trump, Bannon, or that politician that dressed in blackface as Tiger Woods!

Yes, DOW hits 21K. (+350pts-ish). I read some investors’ comments and the overall consensus seems to be that the speech lacked details (which is correct).

Granted, the economic indicators released today overall suggest solid fundamentals, but what do those investors specifically like about the speech (if the speech is any reason for this market surge)… it’s beyond me.

Gorka has been interviewed on NPR a lot recently. He hasn’t figured out that NPR listeners consider him just to the left of Alex Jones.

The beginning part of Josh’s post is just killing me.

Plenty of observers say that President Trump’s first speech to Congress last night was a major reset, a game changer, maybe even the moment when he “became the President of the United States.”

I feel ya.

This too shall pass, but I know how you feel - hurts me too. We had the momentum.
