All the black Africans I know in Chicago–and I know quite a few-- work in healthcare and are keeping people alive.
This is a social issue. Allow the police to do their jobs and re-build those societies. Legislation will not save lives.

It’s like letting your pointy hood show up on screen (oops!) and then having it slip off and show your face (oops! again!)
The worst thing about this is that his basic premise isn’t wrong. Mass shootings are an outlier. They are flashy and get a lot of news attention but reflect a tiny fraction of gun deaths. Banning this one kind of stock is not going to do anything to resolve the culture of gun violence in America. He just had to pile a heap of racism on top of his “broken watch” moment…
