Discussion: GOPers Face Wave Of Threats From Trump Fans Incensed By Delegate Counts

You are expecting empathy towards the LGBT community from the people who pretty much hate the LGBT community. Look, right now their hate is directed in another direction but as soon as someone else uses the LGBT community as a scapegoat for the fact that their lives suck they’ll turn their attention back and clap and support every discriminatory act they can muster. They remind me of the line from the Eminem song, White America, “so much anger aimed, In no particular direction, just sprays and sprays”

Trump’s campaign operation in Indiana condemned the threats made towards officials there.

Right, because Trump only advocates threats against Democrats.

As I tell my kids, it’s all fun and games till somebody gets hurt.

Correct, but the mob is too ignorant to know that. The 1% is the mob I write about.

With these people, hurting people is part of the fun and games.

E., if I disagree with you I do it with more respect than I agree with many other people I’ve known. Trump is very dangerous, that’s very clear. I do think mockery remains a potent weapon against him. There has never been a more clownish, buffoonish serious candidate in U.S. history. And few more incompetent. But still dangerous, and the rabble he’s roused have always been dangerous. Hell, the founders were concerned centuries ago with how wrong and emotional the crowd could be. I’ll say one thing, though—you have to have been threatened yourself, the way these delegates have, to understand how frightening it is. Your rational mind says it’s just harmless blowhards, but in the back of your mind you know it might not be just that. I’m sorry it happened to those people, I wish it hadn’t, but since it has I hope they grasp what it means. Overall, yeah, this isn’t funny.

As someone who actually knows supporters of all the candidates, you’re high on crack. There’s a few nutcase Sanders people and there’s a few nutcase Hillary people but for the most part the Dems just have nothing on these Trumpers for grievance politics. Seriously, Democrats who draw that parallel because Sanders is trying to win are working in grievance politics themselves…

So now votes are not enough. Trump has to threaten violence to get his way.
And the poor and downtrodden support this demagogue who stands on their shoulders expecting the downtrodden to give him a boost up so he can forget them in his rise to power.

I can think of a LOT of Republicans who SUPPORTED and HELPED Hitler: Prescott Bush, Fred Koch, Henry Ford, etc.
The apple has not fallen far from those trees.

I found this line particularly funny in that article:

“Sanders “is irrefutably a better candidate than Hillary Clinton,” he said, but Thayer, an independent, said he did not vote in Illinois’ primary.”

So, can’t be bothered to actually vote, but prefers instead to harass people. Bernie enthusiasm on display.
