I don’t see that much difference between what Bush did in Iraq and what Obama did in Libya - though I grant that Obama did it without killing 4000 American troops. In both cases, we took out a horrible dictator who was mistreating his own people but not particularly messing with us - and at the cost of killing thousands of innocent civilians, creating chaos in the country, and empowering Muslim extremists - not to mention the refuge crisis now engulfing Europe.
Let me tell you what I think the Clinton doctrine is," Roskam said. “snip”
I’m sorry, I thought Hillary Clinton was the one the House had called to testify on Benghazi, but judging by that questionless rant it was actually Rep. Roskam who was brought in to testify on his account of the incident.
Limelight-Gate.
It’s hard for you to see the monumental differences when you’ve got your head so firmly planted in your backside.
Are you really surprised that Right Wingers will stoop to depths unimaginable after the right wing Israeli PM defended Hitler?
There literally is no depth that right wingers will not stoop to if it advances their agenda, as Netanyahu has conclusively demonstrated.
How about starting with the lies that led to Iraq?
He murdered close to 200 Americans.
Count to five.
“GOPer Mocks ‘Clinton Doctrine,’ Accuses Her Of Hogging Limelight On Libya”
So, is the Secretary of State of the United States supposed to be a retiring milquetoast hiding in her office according to this GOPer? Is that what they want her to be??
Well, the whole circus, despite Gowdy’s laughable opening statement, was nakedly an attempt to take down Hillary Clinton and it failed abysmally, leaving Trey Gowdy and his pack of moron hyenas with egg all over their faces. This farce only strengthens Secretary Clinton.
Or that the people of Libya were actually in the process of revolting against Gaddafi when we got involved, unlike in Iraq, which was relatively stable before the US invasion.
Have you forgotten the plane crash in Lockerbie, Scotland?
Yes, I agree Gaddaffi was a brutal dictator and a psychotic killer. But is Libya better off? Ask the Libyans - especially the thousands now in Italy. I don’t remember boatloads of Libyans dying in the Mediterranean when Gaddaffi was in power. By your logic, Bush was right to invade Iraq - Saddam was ha horrible dictator too. Not to mention that Gaddiffi was about to crush Islamic extremists in Benghazi - and we stopped him.
GOPer Mocks ‘Clinton Doctrine,’ Accuses Her Of Hogging Limelight On Libya
…
And of course none of all this farce is about HRC and none of this farce is political.
Where’s my bourbon?
I’m having trouble deciding which is the choicest moment. Can I get some help?
A. Cummings and Chairman Malfoy getting into it.
B. Roby practically sweating through her clothes in fear.
C. Brooks and the stacks of e-mails.
D. And now Roskam and the 'Clinton Doctrine.
How DOES this woman keep from laughing in their faces?
Major story on Fox at the moment is … Mets sweep Cubs in 4 games. and tere’s a story about a breast cancer walk…
Which tells me HRC has done really really well today taking apart the repub members of the committee.
No, but that was 2003; at the time we helped overthrow him, he was leaving us alone as far as I can tell.
That’s true, he had changed his tune on chem weapons, terrorist training and nukes.
As far as you can tell?
Bush doubtless said the same thing about Bin Laden.
The Middle East isn’t in its present chaos because of Libya, sweetheart.
The world is better off with Gaddafi dead. Period.
