Discussion for article #229405
Wow; probably wants his slaves back too.
YEAH? well those Frank Perdue chicken ads were awful!
He’d just outsource them.
Go look at what Sam Nunn said about our commander in chief.
Okay.
He said Barack Obama will open up a new day for America.
He did.
He’ll protect our military.
He is.
He’ll be good for our veterans."
He is.
By the way, if you have to reach back and talk about what your opponent’s DAD said or did in 1978, you’re on pretty weak ground. What an absolutely desperate move by Perdue. He must really be losing - and knows it.
This is the tactic of a desperate man who can see the Senate seat slipping from his grasp.
And he believed that he would sail comfortably to the Senate without breaking a sweat.
A chicken shit move from a man that knows chicken shit…
Also, we should reconquer the Philippines, annex Cuba, take back Iwo Jima and tell those damn Canadians, once and for all, its 54"-40’ or Fight!
Desperation, anyone?
He is losing. He has run a pretty feckless campaign and Nunn surprised him by taking off her gloves early. Her attacks on his outsourcing have been devastating, and his responses have probably been more effective for her than her own attacks.
I think there is a very good chance that she will clear the 50% hurdle so this doesn’t go to a run off. Which she really needs. I don’t want this one to go to a run off, that only plays to his advantage, not hers.
Shh. Only in quiet rooms!
Also too, the British should take back Israel, India and Pakistan.
Yep, a candidate whose internal polling has them ahead wouldn’t resort to such a pathetic and lame line of attack.
Check out the latest individual polls and the fundamentals of each one in TPM Polltracker. This race is really close.
There’s a million ways to point out the misogyny here. I mean, this imbecile’s barely coherent blather only makes sense if you just implicitly accept that women do nothing but what daddy would’ve wanted, don’t think for themselves, and psychologically beholden to their father figure to such an extent that they must turn to him for guidance in all decision-making, etc.
I agree, but just for the fun of it, I will play Devil’s Advocate for a moment.
As much as I criticized her campaign, particularly in the early days, of avoiding any and all issues and instead running ads about how much she loves her grandmother, the effect of that approach is being felt now. Its very difficult to attack her. She has no political record to use against her, and has said very little on the campaign trail that can be thrown back at her. He already tried to attack her for her leadership of GHW Bush’s Points of Light organization; it was a total disaster for him, not surprisingly. All’s he really has left is to attack her father…which really is her main claim to fame, politically speaking.
And of course, such attacks are not going to go anywhere. He is trying to drag up a vote from close to 50 years ago?? By her father, an ex Senator well liked on both sides of the aisle down here. It truly is laughable.
Ah r’member like it were yesterday, when her great great uncle Carl Vinson, mor’n 50 years a Congressional fixture, gaffed out loud for yeers on end about their bean 2 oceans in the world so we oughta put boats in each cuz some madman Yrpeen may tryn take over the world. So, theys a insane mouse loose in the gene pool of that bunch of Nunns meanin vote for the misguided hellspawn of his addled sporran you risk the rath of God’ll gettin so vexed he’ll send a billion Islamis in papyrus boats over to decapitulate us in our barcaloungers and breathe ebola germs down the throats of our loved ones.
Wow, I can smell your desperation. Really voters in NC that are thinking about voting for this idiot, ask yourselves WHY he is resorting to attacking his opponent on some stupid vote her father made years ago, instead of running on his record, or any platform that would be good for the people of NC. Oh, my bad, because this jerk can hardly run on his stellar record of outsourcing American jobs now can he?
LOL. One of Perdue’s negatives down here (probably a positive nearly everywhere else), is he never cultivated that southern language and feel to his rhetoric like his brother Sonny did. Combine that with his Romney lite impressions and he turns a lot of people off instantly.
But still a funny attempt at an impersonation.
If by NC you mean GA, then yeah.
