I do not know about the terrorist threat , but INHO she is advocating over-throwing the Government if she feels they are somehow wronging her…That would be advocating Treason. How do these people even get this far in Politics?
yes. yes we have.
“2nd Amendment remedies” again?
Yep, there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between Angle’s “Second amendment remedies” and Ernst’s “beautiful Smith & Wesson” to defend herself and her family from the government? None!
As others have said, I just gotta believe Iowa is better than this. They voted for the president twice, they’ve been voting for Tom Harkin for nearly 30 years, so it’s hard for me to imagine they’d pull the lever for this creepster. Hopefully, those that sat home in 2010 will turn out in respectable numbers and put Braley over the top. Otherwise, this is just embarrassing. Iowa deserves better.
No. It’s spot on for 1776. By 1789, it was the kind of thinking that led to Shay’s Rebellion and, thereafter, a convention to draft a constitution that would give the government enough power to deal with people who thought like that.
I love how these armchair revolutionaries talk so casually about open rebellion. Were the push of their fevered imagination to come to shove, I’m sure Joni wouldn’t want to muss her hair or miss her luncheon date.
There you go, getting all historical and not sticking with the right-wing fantasies about the US. Tsk, tsk.
Obama’s got some hellfire missiles that’ll disabuse this fucking bitch of that notion.
You know, I think that there probably is a lot of sexual frustration in these ultra conservative women. Their men-folk are repressed homosexuals whose energy goes into fighting their own impulses while simultaneously accusing the rest of the world of trying to make them cave in, and the women themselves internalized the good girl/bad girl dichotomy early on and so are incapable of even recognizing their need for sexual intimacy, taking out their frustration on the rest of the world, especially those that celebrate physical and sexual freedoms other than carrying a firearm.
The latest Q poll says that Braley leads by 19 among those who have already voted (up from their previous poll), but that Ernst is going to win by 2 overall.
How exactly does that work?
“I have a beautiful little Smith & Wesson, 9 millimeter, and it goes with me virtually everywhere,” Ernst said
Awwww. Do I gift in blue, or pink?
Someone needs to test her.
If by “person” you mean a Caucasian Republican. Remember the IOKIYAR rule.
Is she suggesting, then, that we should hold an armed insurrection to restore voting rights and to keep the government from regulating women’s medical decisions? I guess that’s one way to make the GOP listen.
An candidate who advocates breaking the law? A repug. Say it ain’t so.
So if you’re trying to vote and the government says the ID you have is insufficient, just enforce your right to vote by using your gun. If they won’t let you marry the love of your life, enforce your rights to pursuit of happiness by using a gun. If the police tell you that you’re loitering and looking black, enforce your right to peaceful assembly by using your gun. I’m sure she’d have no problem with these reasonable interpretations.
Look at her picture again. She’s not worried about her hair.
Umm, isn’t she part of the government she is railing against? What is she going to do, shoot herself? That’ll learn 'em!
So hey Joni, does this mean you think you have the right to shoot federal officials?
What a lunatic.
It’s a little like the scene in Blazing Saddles where he points a gun at himself and says, “BACK OFF!! or the nggr gets it!”
