She should get $7.25 an hour as a junior senator, not the annual $175,000. or so that is the salary because it is also entry level and she could learn the meaning of work before she moves up to higher-paying work.

I’ve noticed this is a common theme even among some liberals, people think the only ones making minimum wage are high school kids.

Every two or three days I see an article on TPM about some profoundly stupid statement the serial castrator makes, along with a chart indicating the closeness of the race, so I have to ask – Does Braley ever respond to her bull - a statement, mailing or heck, maybe even an ad?
I can’t tell if he is actively engaging her while issuing his own assertions about the issues of the day, or simply sliding through the summer letting her hog all the media space.
If it’s the former, perhaps TPM could shed some light on that side of the equation. And if it’s the latter, perhaps Braley should hire a better team of campaign strategists. We don’t need a Michele Bachmann clone in the Senate next year.

That’s fine, but when I was in high school, the then-prevailing minimum wage was $2.20, which equates to $9.40 today.
Are today’s high school kids less worthy of compensation than they were then?

I remember my first job was at McDonald’s. I made the minimum wage of $3.55, and was pretty excited. That was back in, umm, let’s see… oh yeah!.. 1986.
