Discussion: GOPer Ernst: People On Medicaid Had No 'Personal Responsibility'

Actually, we’ve already got dozens just like her in the Missouri state legislature. The patient is not just infected, it’s dying.

I love that description. So accurate and yet so funny.

I think her eyes ARE peyote buttons.

Well, we’ve got the Three Horsewomen of the Pocky Lips—Palin, Bachmann, and Ernst—but we need a fourth. Any nominations?

It looks like Joni loves to denigrate those less fortunate than she is. I wonder how she could know what the personal situation of many on Medicaid is or if any were actually lacking “personal responsibility”. Many years ago I was unemployed and homeless and living out of my one major possession …my 10yr old Ford F-150 pick-up. I’m not proud of that period in my life and I would not have needed or appreciated somebody like Joni Ernst saying crappy things about me to make me feel even worse. I doubt that her comments will garner her many votes among thinking and feeling people.

Iowa is a strange place. They can at turns elect great people but then true wing-nuts in full tin foil hat regalia. It can be exhilarating or exceedingly depressing depending on how the buffalo chips fall. Iowa voters have real power this time around. Their selection could sway the majority in the Senate. It would be sad if it falls to Joni Ernst to swing that majority…

TPM also recently flagged that Ernst suggested that if extra U.S. troops had stayed in Iraq for a longer period of time, the U.S. wouldn’t have recently conducted airstrikes on Islamic militants there (an argument that President Barack Obama has strongly rebutted).

Talk about no personal responsibility, what about taking responsibility for going to war in Iraq in the first place?

How does a brain that small power a mouth that big?
If only science could harness that power…

Maybe she learned those things by watching the Palin Channel??

Could be, could be. They both exhibit word salad tendencies though Caribou Barbie out does Joni in that department by considerable.

CGI Michele Bachmann’s crazy-eyes on her…

AGGGHHHHH

Sorry…that’s too horrible to contemplate…

I never realized that Iowa had so many damned bureaucrats.

Why does Ms. Ernst, who vilifies them, want to continue being one, except at a higher level in Washington, where the baddest of the bad bureaucrats live?

How is it that this troll can still be competitive?

Hey bradley, YOU need to get on the stick and shove her words back at her each and every minute of the day!

The critical question is whether “thinking and feeling people” make up a majority of the Iowa electorate.

BINGO!!

OK, FINE!!!
TPM’s system is demanding I be “more descriptive”:

“Body is invalid; try to be a little more descriptive”

I hate it when my “body” needs to be more descriptive when ONE DAMNED WORD IS BLOODY WELL SUFFICIENT!!!@#$!!!two!!!
Listen, TPM system (you bad boy), Do I need to send Joe an email??

Marsha Blackburn.

Christine O’Donnell

Parroting Fox News and castrating pigs are both easier than thinking.

I would love to check her family tree and see how many irresponsible folks there are in her family who ended up on medicaid. My brother who was controller of a Nevada hotel casino before getting a rapidly progressing case of multiple sclerosis will be on medicaid next week because of his audacity to survive cardiac arrest and a stroke. If only he had been more responsible when the filthy rich Vegas hotel owner cut off his health insurance thirty years ago.

Virginia Foxx, with points to spare. Voting against Katrina relief was a low even for Republicans, and the rest of her votes are on the same level. AND she has the most beautiful porn name to boost.
