Dear Dumbfuck from Hell: His testimony only showed he wasn’t under investigation at that time.
I will guarantee you this: He’s got much bigger problems now. Beginning with the introduction of A-list mob prosecutor Andrew Weissmann. Tangling with a guy well-versed in RICO and FCPA statutes as well as complicated financial crimes is not going to work out well for the Cockholster clan.
Prediction: Trump emerges emboldened and very much feeling immune to penalty for all his behavior in this affair, at least so far as the fallout from the Comey testimony. So, what does someone do in his state of mind? He’s tamed Jeff Sessions, is about to have his handpicked FBI Director installed. I foresee him trying to kneecap Mueller’s investigation. Ordinarily that would be stupid, self destructive and asking for major trouble. But Trump’s actions don’t result in major trouble for him, at least personally. He’ll stay in office, much of the GOP agenda will be stymied by all these distractions, and Trump will continue to throw rocks through windows.
But watch the Mueller investigation. Trump is about to go after it, claws bared.
Remember, this is the same Senator who freaked out when Clinton made his; “What the definition of “IS” is.” statement.
Hypocrite much?
Lindsey Graham is now 100% backing Trump, were in the past he was against him. You ask just what has changed? The answer to that question is Russia. Lindsey Graham has had ties to Russia, as he let slip that he was unmasked in this Russian probe.
It’s getting really difficult for Republicans to protect their own on this. So few people coming to Trump’s defense, and all they have is drivel…
Lindsey has learned from his favorite Disney Princess films that a wish is a dream his heart makes. Or a dream is a wish his heart makes. Whatever.
Wrong as always Graham. It does show it was, particularly when the President’s own words and action demonstrate it, as pointed out by Comet in his testimony.
Trump fired Comey because of the Russia investigations.
The President said so.
Actually I think it did.
I enjoyed Comey dropping the fact that “Mueller has all of my notes and paperwork” whenever he could in his testimony.
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that Comey isn’t the only witness in Mueller’s file cabinet. And the reason Trump fired Comey is because of the other witnesses that are in Mueller’s file cabinet.
In the future, should I refer to “Miss” Lindsey, it has nothing to do with closets.
Oh, snap!
The gop just chose trump over one of their own.
I see things a little differently.
I don’t dispute that Trump will soon come out with a public stance full of bravado.
But I think at this minute he is reeling. Not because of words. But because it’s clear from testimony that Comey gave in front of millions of people that Comey out-manned Trump in their encounters big time. He makes Trump look like a clown.
And Trump’s buddy (not) Paul Ryan comes out and says Trump didn’t know what he was doing.
If you think about Trump the ego driven alpha male narcissist, he must be a freaking mess.
Graham: “Comey Testimony Shows There’s No Obstruction Case Against Trump.”
I think Comey’s testimony shows there’s a pretty good obstruction case against Trump.
(Forgive my cross-posting, but the commenting system is so screwed up today that I’ll risk it:)
- Trump made sure he was alone with Comey. (Desire to conceal actions from witnesses.)
- As Comey’s boss, Trump questioned his continued employment. (Implied threat.)
- Trump made clear to Comey he wanted him to end the Flynn investigation. (Prima facie.)
- When Comey refused to end the Flynn investigation, Trump fired him. (Retaliation.)
- As reason for firing him, Trump used the demonstrably-false excuse the FBI “was in disarray” and “had lost confidence” in Comey. (Defamation and false statements to conceal motive.)
- Trump subsequently bragged to the Russians, themselves, “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off,” by firing Comey. (Admission of motive.)
I’m no prosecutor, but I’ll guess these factors strongly support an obstruction case against Trump.
Up proves there’s no down, down proves there’s no up.
Most Republicans seem to have sold what little soul they may have had to the devil.
Maybe, but a reeling drunk is still vaguely cognizant he has scant control of his flailing, inebriated body. Nevertheless he still challenges three of the biggest guys in the bar to a fight. We shouldn’t forget Trump is very much a very stupid person. I’ve sat and talked with ten year old kids that I know were his intellectual superior. He won’t be able to stop himself from lashing out. He’s bragged for years when he gets hit he hits back twice as hard. It’s reflex. He can’t not do it.
At this moment he is actively plotting to do his very worst, within his power, to everyone he feels has wronged him. Mark it.
This is just really, really SAD!
John McCain Blames His Odd Questions At James Comey’s Hearing On Baseball
“I get the sense from Twitter that my line of questioning today went over people’s heads,” the veteran Republican senator said.
I’m waiting for Scott Baio to show up.
