Discussion for article #230365
Coburn’s comments are irrational, irresponsible and just plain ignorant. The whole “I hope we don’t see violence” ploy is Coburn throwing gas on a fire. If something does happen, Coburn will wring his hands as he blames Obama. It’s very sad to see Coburn act this way when he barely blinked when Reagan and Bush took similar actions. This version of the Republican Party doesn’t even have a casual relationship with the truth.
So no violence when Saint Ronnie of Reagan did it, but Coburn predicts violence when the black guy does it.
Well that’s not at all irresponsible.
Fortunately, all reactionaries are paper tigers.
Sen. Coburn, call up John Boehner and ask him to get his House to pass the damned bill your chamber passed. You know, the one on immigration. That way Obama would not need to act unilaterally like Reagan and GW Bush did on Immigration. AND the House could brag at the next election that they actually did their job for a change.
What. A. Concept.
Sheesh.
Reagan and GW Bush act as President concerning immigration and nary a peep from Congress. Recently the Senate passed a bill on Immigration and the House fails to act yet still whines about a broken immigration system and a porous border.
The salient point here is:
THE HOUSE FAILED TO DO ITS JOB
And now they want to pillory Obama because he is trying to do their job for them.
So Executive Orders are now " outside the authority of the president".
i think he meant a Democrat president, but whatever.
Typical repug fear mongering. What a fuckin moron. Please Sen Coburn go away and never show your stupidity again.
these guys are delusional and dangerous.
this country needs to wake up. problem is, the fox bubble is filled wth goofy gas.
“…You could see violence.”
From his constituents.
Coburn and the rest of the republican scum would certainly like to see violence in the country.
Coburn says there will be anarchy. Well yeah…but it;s because the House won’t do its job and the whole legislative branch operates to obstruct anything the Executive branch wants to do. This isn’t governing. This is incompetence.
Well, if there is violence, then I hope it is met with a military style response such as we saw in Ferguson, MO.
They are praying for violence then they will blame the President. They will also pass new laws to lock down any protests in the country more than has all ready taken place. The right is now in the drivers seat wants a one party system; but they need to to it so it appears that they didn’t actually do it. Gerrymandering can only go so far, they are talking about changes in the electoral college again and control the entire south so we will see changes in the coming year that were not even on the radar last year.
Violence? what, the jackbooted extremists are going to start attacking latinos tomorrow? Are the KKK going to run wild through the street?
What a load of irresponsible, irrational crap.
And paranoid. You know what’s going to happen on Friday? absolutely nothing.
What an irresponsible, saber-rattling bigot Coburn is. Good riddance to you Tom. Can’t be gone soon enough.
including his relatives.
more like a petulant right wing temper tamtrum
