Oooooooh, are the Goopers starting to turn on each other??

First the NRA, then this…

Dare I hope?

By their logic, Trump wouldn’t have been allowed to run in 2016.

First the NRA and now the NC GOP. These guys seem to be flummoxed by the incredible shrinking of their base caused directly by the entertainer president who is losing market share. When you operate your political party like a marketing/entertainment operation as some point the suckers get bored and gravitate to the next shiny thing.

NC’s GOP seems very clustertrumpy.

Ah, the GOP: when they’re not destroying the country, they’re busy being a total clown shown.

Actually, that’s not quite right. They frequently do both simultaneously.

So what are NC rules about nonprofit corporations making in-kind contributions to political candidates? Because that would seem to be the way that their disgraced mouthpiece wants this to play out. Oh, and for the winning candidate to have to gather signatures to get on the ballot.

“There is no one right way to be a conservative, but there are things that politicians can do to betray their conservative values,” Anglin said in a blog post last month. “If members of Congress allow this branch to become a subservient branch to the Executive and simply take marching orders from the president on policy that does not reflect true conservatism, they betray their conservative values.”

Pro tip for running as a Republican’t: Republican’ts hate it when you call them out on their hypocrisy…

Sounds more like he’s a democrat working the rules to gain access to GOP primary campaign data. Clever, was just thinking it’s about time some new shenanigan turned up in NC.

That’s because only namby-pamby libs can be in disarray. The real (white) men of the GOP couldn’t possibly ever be in disarray.

The weird part is that I doubt you’d find any real journos (as opposed to the ones that work at Fox or Breitbart) that truly believe the above statements - yet they still write as if they do.

GOP Chairman Robin Hayes… indicted on federal charges that he tried to bribe the state’s insurance commissioner on behalf of a wealthy donor and then lied to FBI agents.

Show me a member-in-good-standing of the GOP, and I’ll show you a criminal.

It’s really that simple.

So as long as you don’t violate campaign finance or ballot access rules (see the investigations of fake candidates run by republicans) is there anything wrong with people reregistering and running in the primaries of the party they used to oppose? There are a lot of former Dixiecrats who might disagree…

Democrats in disarray!!! Wait…what?

“Uh, change the channel! We can’t show the GOP being incompetent!”

“Not Republican Enough” is just one step away from "Not “Christian” Enough (already happening with Buttelig or “Wrong Kind of Race” or “Wrong Gender” which the NCGOP is well on the record of already stating.

You know, we’ll deal with this later. Now, here’s this video of a completely unrelated car chase in Arizona…

So the party that criticized Democrats from taking steps to prevent a non-Democrat from being its presidential nominee is throwing registered Republicans off the ballot because they aren’t Republican enough?

it would be shockingly hypocritical, except that hypocrisy is not just merely permitted by Republicans, the GOP would not exist today without hypocrisy.
