Dorothy should have stayed in Oz
Auntie Em:
Hate you, hate Kansas. Taking the dog.

Well, well. This should send shockwaves through the GOP (and not just the TeaBuggers). Their entire fiscal doctrine (killing taxes = growing economy) has just been given the thumbs down in Kansas, of all places.
One could only hope
Gee who could have thunk it cutting taxes and not bringing any money in would cause a deficit.
Teabagger smack-down
Unfortunately the damage has been done. Brownbach has raided everything meant for the public good, education, highway funds, public safety, state pension funds, health care. The state is a disaster.
Brownback did.
Give the voters credit. They observed the national dysfunction caused by representatives with no real interest in governing, and lived the disastrous results of Conservative orthodoxy at home.
Apparently “math” doesn’t care about ideology.
And it only took 6 years
These are great.

Credit due-- had they had the same reaction 2 years ago-- instead of re-electing Brownback when the disaster was already clear. By not doing so KS voter lengthened the time for possible recovery by many years-- by emboldening Brownback with 4 more years of cover.
Brownback’s re-election was startling to me.

Huelskamp is gone?! Hoo-effin’-ray! There’s one particularly odious member of the Crazy Caucus down. Only 41 more to go, although one trusts that at something less than twenty their influence should be pretty marginal.
It’s always been a fantasy but like most ideological fixations, Tea-holics have clung to it like a bulldog does a soup bone…eyes fixed, jaws locked. The original Laffer curve was purportedly scrawled on the back of a napkin. The napkin should have been used for a wipe, then a flush.
Was listening to John Zogby of Zogby polling fame on NPR a few months ago and he predicted this and a huge win for Democrats in November. I was doubtful (considering Kansas) but so far he’s right.
Fingers crossed!
Brownback may not have a choice but to moderate since he will no longer have a compliant legislature. Thank goodness, my grandchildren may have a chance of a proper education. If the Johnson county suburbs have changed, it will be significant in the fall election. Hope springs eternal.
Yeah, I don’t know about that. Pretty sure Kansas has plenty of Dems who explicitly predicted this outcome years ago and the state still recently re-elected Brownback when they knew his policies were a complete failure. You don’t deserve much credit for only being smart enough to grab something still floating after you refuse to steer away from the iceberg.
And the Koch Bros, Brownbacks sugar daddies.
