Two things that he may have had moral issue with? And shame on him for attempting to learn the language of the people in the nation he was stationed in. Why would that ever be useful?

Their plan is pretty simple. No beer and no BBQ = closet Muslim. That and learning the languages of the locals. These people are evil and the “liberal” media should be embarrassed at how they’ve covered this.

Sounds like an overzealous commander who didn’t want this on his record ordered a lot of dangerous missions… is this standard procedure, or does there seem to be an inordinate amount of risk taken?
Most of this peer-bitterness comes from those risky assignments, not Begrgdahl’s captivity, per se.

Tweety hauled out his angry bird face last night along with his own VietNam-era draft dodger guilt to echo NBC’s current stand with the insane rightwing and posters here have given glints of the Morning Joe babble. CBS has been surprisingly moderate in their morning news coverage and I don’t even want to think about the dreadful, winger-guided ABC approach.
