Now watch and see how Eric Cantor, an orthodox Jew, will sit on his hands and not say a thing about his fellow GOPer who is comparing the Nazi’s extermination of Jews to the President’s health care plan that will save lives. In essence, Cantor is complicit in that he will never condone a fellow GOPer comparing the Nazi’s to the President. And to think that the Virginia Holocaust Museum continues to allow Cantor to be on an “Honorable” member.
I wonder where the ADL is with all the casual references to the Holocaust and Nazis the Republicans throw around these days? Are they not worried about trivializing it? Josh, it might be good if you or your team could ask them about this?
There was a time when Conservatives & Liberals were on the same page regarding the gratuitous employment of Nazi references and equating things to the Holocaust - and they would not stand for it (especially those who saw it first hand)
Words cannot fully capture how despicable this tool from Tennessee truly is.
Send him some bitcoins at this address: sen.stacey.campfield@capitol.tn.gov
Stacy Campfield is always a contender for Sh*tmuffin of the Decade award…and Still, I can’t decide whether Tennessee or Texas wins the Dumbass of the Decade.
Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas) weighed in with this: “Biblical ‘Great Flood’ shows climate change isn’t man made”.
Well, I’d simply like to hear what he has against the ACA. Folks are now simply stating that the ACA is bad without actually stating why they think this is the case.
Worst of all, this amounts to his “Thought of the Day.”
Just imagine what the rest of the week will look like.
“TPM’s query to Campfield for elaboration was not immediately returned.”
If you are looking for racism you can find it in many places.
Try: “A Michigan forensics lab has confirmed with “85 percent” certainty that the voice heard on a phone message using a racial slur is that of Belleville, NJ councilwoman and mayoral candidate Marie Strumolo Burke.”
And that was his best “thought of the day”!
He’s right, you know. Requiring the American public to purchase health insurance in order to reduce costs overall and requiring the insurance companies to sell coverage to everyone is exactly the same as rounding up millions of people against their will and killing them in gas chambers.
Hell, I can’t even tell the two apart.
And once again, GOP: the ONLY thing that can be compared to the Holocaust IS THE FREAKING HOLOCAUST, not a health care law you don’t like.
Piss off.
Yeah, exactly the same … except that one resulted in the death of millions of people and the other will possibly save numerous lives.
Clearly you’ve never heard of Sen. Campfield; there will be neother walk-back nor apology, I assure you. As soon as I saw a headline about something stupid said by a state senator in Tennessee, I already knew who it would be.
This is an obscenity and trivializes the genocide of over 6 million. This scumbag should be forced from office immediately.
“SCHMUCK” and thats a famous yiddish word which discribes him.
Just when you think you’ve heard all the asinine comments along comes another obviously stupid member of the opposition.
As someone who lives in East Tennessee (thankfully not Campfield’s district) I can tell you that this does NOT play well here. The GOP here absolutely hates Stacey Campfield and is counting on a physician named Dr. Richard Briggs to knock Campfield off in the primary. Campfield’s district includes most of West Knoxville, which is very middle class and suburban. It’s historically been a moderately conservative Republican district. Campfield slithered his way into the seat in 2010 when two other opponents split the vote and Campy went door-to-door getting something like 34%, which was enough to win. He had been a lightning rod House member before that, but in a district where few had paid him much attention. I would be shocked if he survived the GOP primary. Because if he does, his seat is very likely to go to a Democrat for the first time since the Civil War. We have a lot of ignoramuses in our state government, and we have lots of decent people too. Campfield is in a special category of awful. I’m hoping that this comment will be enough to yank most of his support from him.
I’ve said it before and I’ll keep on saying it:
If you’re talking about the Holocaust but you’re not talking about THE Holocaust, you probably shouldn’t be talking about the Holocaust.
I might be mistaken, but I think that the name “Tennessee” comes from an obscure ancient Cherokee phrase for “Oppositeland”.
Sir, you just read my mind WORD FOR WORD.
I’ve asked it before and it’s good that you ask it again.
