This is a GOP talking point that they believe is really clever, but is, in fact, a Catch-22. If your school is failing due to inadequate funding, then you don’t qualify for more funding. If you’re in a wealthy district and have managed to scrape up the funding on your own, now you’re a success and you’ll get more money. See how clever of me? That way I don’t have to pay any more taxes to educate those [not like me] children.
