Until they actually vote that way instead of just mouthing it, I wonât believe a thing either one of these âladiesâ say:
This rather feels like âthis old show?â In which after enough wooing, a cave follows along with an assurance that x or y that she had expressed concern for was promised to be addressed. Collins is now Charlie Brown to Mitch McConnell and Trumpâs Lucy.
However, while the numbers within the senate are now better for the GOP, outside of the senate - in the ecosystem that reelections are held in - the numbers keep getting worse for the GOP. If a few more get wobbly⌠who knows if Mitch might let some movement happen on the floor.

She does remember her convictions at times.
I hope whoever runs against Collins in 2020 puts together all the statements about her âconcernsâ, followed by her folding like a cheap tent whenever McConnell cracks his whip, and puts them into political ads. There is already enough material for the whole 2020 campaign season and she keeps adding to it.

That is the most egregious one that came to my mind. They could play the highlights of the Kavanaugh hate-spewing tape and link Collins to it.
Once his Plan A, bullying the Dems while romancing Speaker Pelosi, failed, his pals in the Senate discovered there was no Plan B other than, âGet me the fuck out of this.â
When you canât even agree what is the correct measures to enact at the border, WHY would you continue to keep the government shut down? This is punitive BS not a ânegotiating tacticââŚ
Instead of addressing the nation with BS, Trump should talk to Coulter, Limbaugh and the Fox gang to give him cover while he folds. But of course they wont, because they donât care about the country they donât care about Trump either, they just care about their ratings and selling outrage works marvels.
I think we are going to see new senators defecting. There are 20 or so Republicans up next time. Many of them are going to have a hard time sticking with Grump, including Mitch.
