They’ve been out of power so long they don’t know how to do their job. I think they just assume the Democrats are supposed to do stuff and then they say no to it.
It looks like the rats are starting to jump ship. This is turning out to be a political loser for the GOP much faster than I ever thought.
I had predicted that Trump wouldn’t make it until Labor Day - resignation or impeachment (and who cares which?). I may have to revise that to Memorial Day.
They have gotten so used to Dems cleaning up their messes, they assume they can shit anywhere they want.
Watching Trump spewing forth executive decrees like this one and today’s latest crop is like a desperately sick animal vomiting on everything healthy around it. In little more than a week, Trump has already done unimaginable damage to this country and to millions of people worldwide. Consider the possibilities of what the U.S. will be like in four years.
Trump and his Repuglican sycophants have railed about President Obama’s executive orders, yet most, if not all of his actions were directed toward helping people. Trump seems hell-bent of punishing people, especially the most vulnerable. I worry about our country’s ability to withstand fours years of this Trump storm, and am reminded of the wisdom of one of our Founders:
A Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, “A republic, if you can keep it.”
That’s three or four GOP hacks mildly complaining? Out of hundreds?
All my life, I have been careful about my political vocabulary, hoping that I would never need to use a certain word. But I have no other option: fascists.
