Discussion: GOP Senator’s Prayer For Obama: ‘Let His Days Be Few’

You could say that this is how the Rethugs end up with Rump.

OR, you could say that this is how GOP establishment ended up with their base.

Ranks right up there with the one term president line.

How’d that work out for ya?

Pete King: Whatever David Perdue said can be excused as he doesn’t mean any of it. He just says these things because he is a Republican and from South.

“Some are saying the president should die. Not that I’m saying that…”

Republican Congressmen are horrible people.

If they weren’t “Christians”, they wouldn’t know which Bible verses to cherry pick in order to justify their desires to harm people.

in no way wishes harm towards our president

But if he were to wind up no longer with us, that would be A-OK!

Jackasses don’t know the effect words like these can have on the frothingly insane underbelly of the GOP.

Perdue in no way “wishes” harm to Obama. More accurately, he “prays” for it. POS.

GOTP dog whistle, if ever there was one.

The definition of “political dog whistle” contains the phrase “plausible deniability”, i.e., “why, nosirree, I never meant that at all, what on earth were you thinking, I would never say that” with a wide-eyed, fake-shocked look on the speaker’s face.

Yeah, right.

Pull the other one, it’s got bells on it.

We already know how many days he has as President, after all, it’s specified, so there’s no need to pray about it.

I wonder what else he could have meant?

The irrational hatred of this President by the right wing has no basis in fact. Its astounding really how they can’t see (or acknowledge) their own racism.

Though, they are going to hate Hillary equally the same.

They are the ultimate bullies - refuse to play in the playground with anyone not like them.

When will the country have enough?

Senator Perdue,

I find it refreshing that you are going back to the God of the Old Testament, from before He went all PC on us.

In that spirit, my response to you will not include any of that candy-ass turning the other cheek stuff from the New Testament. I will instead pray night and day that bums such as yourself be forever cast out of office. That other stuff in Psalms 109 is none of my business, but I won’t pretend to be sad if She, in Her infinite wisdom, brings down such scunnion on you and yours.

There isn’t a fucking thing holy or religious or notable about these sick motherfuckers who attend this bullshit, and the phoniest of all Republican confabs, other than its level of hatred for everyone except their own little strain of Christianist snobbery and the stain they leave on our country. There is nothing “Christian” about these people. They are haters…all of them. They wouldn’t recognize the true teachings of Christ, Muhammed, Buddha, or any other deity if it hit them upside their heads. Even the name of their little bigot-filled confab is a complete misnomer.

I’ve got another Bible verse you should read, Perdue, you punk. It’s from the Beatitudes:

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Barack Obama is a thousand times the human being and Christian you could ever be. Scum.

Because nothing reassures an an electorate experiencing increasing anxiety over the overtly fascistic turn the Republican Party has taken like a bit of jovial indulgence in apocalyptic elmininationist rhetoric.
