Another statesman for Jeebus.

Please shoot me them.

interesting how they can never grow a spine until they get cover from others… and then it’s OK to be spineless…

it’s also interesting that they can appeal to their voters by swearing not to do their Constitutionally mandated job…

I guess he’ll be standing outside of Sen. Ross’ office begging her not to vote for HRC’s nominee.

Hopefully the audio commercials generated by this admission will spell the end of Burr…and other GOP senators when this is broadcast in other close senate races.

I don’t care what anybody says - there IS a “Trump Effect”. Even 4 years ago this kind of trash talk would have drawn a quick and negative response. These days it’s commonplace. Even among the people who are supposed to be leading this country. And so are the lies that get quietly talked back a couple of days after the initial punch. Perhaps it isn’t Trump, but he’s the one who is leading the charge in channeling this awful garbage. As a senator, Burr should know better and he is expected to be capable of acting like an adult.

I’m proud to have voted against this Republican anti-government extremist last week.

He’s doing his job as his constituents see it. They are the spiritual (and in many cases the actual) descendants of the Confederacy. We are still and always fighting the Civil War.

Jesus. If he wants to spout off like a dumbshit without any consequences, he should run for the house. This is the kind of crap that can kill a senate campaign. Good.

So, this was just a straight up lie:

“The American people deserve a voice in the nomination of the next Supreme Court Justice,” Burr said.

Shocker!

What he was thinking was inappropriate, and he should beg God to have mercy on his miserable soul.

The further they auger down the more transparent their obstruction becomes…I hope the next POTUS has the nuts to call um on it and unite voters in the next mid-term

Focusing on GOP intentions for SCOTUS misses the larger picture. Lacking a decisive majority in both houses of Congress Clinton will get NOTHING passed. All legislation and appointments will grind to a halt unless whatever compromise is offered is decidedly Republican in its leanings and benefits. She will be treated as a lame duck starting the moment she removes her hand from the swearing in Bible.

I hope this means bye-bye for Burr
