Ohh, he’s going to piss off the TRAITORS with talk like that.
Clearly an effort by Mitch McConnell and his cabal to delegitimize the first African American president, seize executive powers and subvert the plain language of the Constitution.
What if any are the penalties in the Logan act? Are Senators immune? I think that Eric Holder should open and conduct a full investigation.
WHO? Booby?
Chris Hayes threw up a graphic just now … and I just checked … 98,944.
Rechecked … that quickly, it’s now at 100,540
What’s the 411 on this guy in AZ, hermano?
I already did. For whatever good it will do.
Flake finds his traitor friends’ letter “unproductive” the same way a certain breed of Lions fan might talk about Nodickadingdong Suh’s gameplay. They’re all on the same team, all wanting desperately to win the same game, and don’t really mind if their best strategy is to hope for lots of opposing injuries. But they can’t deny the harmful impact of so many stupid penalties.
I long for the days when the GOP was part of the loyal opposition.
This entire fiasco shows the GOP to be incompetent fools. Everything they have done since President Obama was elected has stunk of fear. Feeding the ravenous base their daily dose of hatred does nothing to win over new voters. This is a political party in steep decline.
Ya’ think?!
He’s also very good on immigration policy.
How else do you expect Jindal to get any attention?? Sheesh…
Fuck Booby Jindal and the shit ball he rode in on.
no worries… st johnnie mccain signed on.
I call him Jeff the Flake from Snowflake. He’s aligned with Gramps McCain mostly. And he does hail from Snowflake, AZ. He was in our state gov’t for a while until he wanted the bigger salary and less actual work. Smart but misdirected and relatively unaware of the doings in his own state. With that letter the Senate overstepped its authority by injecting itself into the negotiations which should, by the Constitution, be Obama’s purview. The Senate should advise and consent (or not), not negotiate.
That went bye bye 40 years ago.
What agreement? Since it doesn’t exist yet, any judgement is clearly both premature…and stupid. Of course, that’s the GOP way, so why should we expect anything else? They may not like the final form, but until there actually IS a final form, why not withhold any comments? Their alternative would be another Iraq, but with a much larger body count…on BOTH sides. And…in the end, just another complete fiasco for humanity.
I worked for Congress in the 1980s and it was so then, but, yes I guess we are approaching 40 years. Back then Raygun was Prez but the Dems still worked with him, as addled and controlled as he was.
Me, too, back when there were only 6,551 signees, so I’m heartened to see the number is well over 100,000 already, the base number needed for the petition to go forward.
