Error in the last sentence? Nevada didn’t flip a senate seat from red to blue in 2016 – that was Harry Reid’s seat that was retained by the Democrats in 2016.

In 2016, Nevada went for Hillary Clinton and flipped the state’s other Senate seat from red to blue.

Harry Reid’s seat was red?

Ryan: 300,000 moochers in NV must get off their butt and work for expensive and unaffordable Health Care. Rich will enjoy the tax cuts.

Time to brush up the old resume, ex-Senator Heller…

Wow, who’d’a thunk it? Constitutents can get mad when you make it too obvious you are trying to screw them…

We need time to adjust," Heller said.

Meaning…he’s still all for it if he just can find a way to sell it as “time to adjust”. What else could that mean? Its not a blanket rejection of getting rid of the House legislation or not doing away with Obamacare…The fucker just needs more time. His comments are weasel words at best.

Ha! I was gonna say…

Who knew? All those times TPM wrote “Harry Reid (R-NV)” it wasn’t a typo!

It means don’t cut the Medicaid expansion until after I’m reelected

I don’t see how it can pass the Senate. May not even pass the House. Trump said we’d win so much we’d be tired of winning, but defeating this will be a big win and I’m not tired in the least.

Poor guy is in a tough spot. If he supports the Republican line he is toast. If he doesn’t he is toast. We need to retire him in 2018 and make his life easier.

Well, Dean, I guess getting that double fisting from Trump/Ryan isn’t as much fun as you thought it would be, huh, motherfucker?

The bill making its way through the House would cap the expansion in 2020 and convert the program into block grants, reducing its funding by hundreds of millions of dollars over time. A conservative faction in the House is pushing for that deadline to be moved up to 2018.

“And my argument for this administration and frankly for leadership on both sides is that’s not enough time for Nevada to adjust. We need time to adjust," Heller said.

Yes, providing citizens three years to get used to the idea they're losing their medical insurance, as opposed to merely one, will make this all much easier to swallow.

This is classic Kahnemann and Tversky behavioral economics; people feel a loss of something they have much more than a gain that they miss out on. If the Republicans pass this POS there will be a well-deserved bloodbath.

You’ve been in the Senate since May of 2011, Heller. And your party has had 8 years to come up with a workable plan.
Eight. Motherfucking. Years.
Just resign now, asshole, and let the new Dem governor appoint a Democrat to your seat, since you are gone in 2018. At least that way you won’t have to make any hard decisions, which I know you and the rest of the GOP think is not a part of responsible governance.

“We need time to adjust.”
Yes, Dean, that’s what I and the majority of the rest of the American people are saying before Trump and company are going to try to fuck us without using any lube.

If Trump cared about this bill he’d give Adelson a ring and tell him to threaten not to contribute to Heller’s re-election fund.

I’m trying to figure out which is worse for guys like this, town halls that are packed with people screaming at him or town halls where no one shows up.
