Even though OK Is one of the great coocoo capitals of America, this idea should probably be taken seriously. If nothing else, it confirms the premise that this activity is easily doable, worth doing to achieve certain expectations and useful in fomenting doubt, confusion,rage and vitriol.

From our standpoint, nothing. From their standpoint, they’re looking for a much harder pro-Christian theocracy + white nationalist view. They want mass deportation. They want to impose RW Christian ideology. They also want to push Trump further to the right on all things. I look at Moore as a bit like Daniel Day Lewis in There Will Be Blood.
What cost Luther Strange the election was Trump’s flop on #charlottesville (where he didn’t go hard right enough against the not-Nazi protestors) and the rhetorical flip flop on DACA.
What motivate the establishment are screwing people out of their health care and robbing from working class folks to pay for rich people’s tax cuts. What motivate the Moore right are theocracy and racism.

Lankford is on the Intelligence Cttee. He is a fierce partisan and was really awful when I saw him in action. And now he’s saying this. He’s clearly worried by Trump and/or what he’s seen as a Committee member.
