Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing (Lankford is a member of the panel). Lankford also sits on the Senate Intelligence Committee, which is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election.
We need to seriously look into this.

My bet is that there was kneeling but not silent praying. Plus if you didnât kneel with coach you had to run laps.
FIFY.
Yeah this sounds like one of those right wing internet hoaxes to me. Iâm from Oklahoma and thereâs nothing silent or personal about the prayer at the football games. Some local official goes out on the field before kickoff and leads the prayer over the PA system.
We might be there now.
Ah, it wasnât in Oklahoma. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/washington-football-coach-fired-for-post-game-prayer-takes-action-against-school/
These are the guys who were the Young Republicans in college. You know, the ones who annoyed everyone.
âIf weâre going to honor all free speech and all free exercise of religion, we need to be able to honor that universally.â
âIfâ being the operative word. Universal application of our First Amendment rights runs contrary to GOP orthodoxy yet Lankford professes to be a Republican, an impossibility as any true Scotsman can tell you.
Itâs already been remarked on, but we should dwell for a moment on the logic of what Lankfordâa rightwing nutjob from OK who has been a very reluctant participant in the congressional inquiry into Trump-Russia --is saying. He is signaling that Trump is stoking up a controversy inimical to the interests of the USA in concert with Russia. If this senator is starting to worry, that is a significant development.
And itâs also significant that the Trump presidentialâas distinct from the electoralâplaybook clearly involves (1) starting cultural wars, that (2) enjoy continued Russian support. We already knew (1). We were not really aware of (2).
He also seems not to understand how the Establishment Clause works in conjunction with the other provisions of the First Amendment.
Very plausible, Russian Trolls put Yoda in Saudi textbooks too.
unlike Francisco Franco, still NOT dead.
When Trump was waxing poetic with the Prime Mnister of Spain yesterday I was waiting for him to mention how great Franco was. A rare disappointment when he didnât.
Of course not. Only in his deranged imagination. This is part of the bizarre world Christianists have spun into a full-blown persecution complex to prove how oppressed they are.
I very much doubt that he has any idea who Franco was. Hell, Iâd lay money that he couldnât find Spain on a map.
You mean the virgin ones with hairy palms?
Bannon might have mentioned Franco.
And what would one of his tweets be without an example of his ever-present projection: âfraudulent commercials pushing for crooked politiciansâ.
Why do these f*ckers have to hijack every evil committed in the name of theirs and use it as their own? Same thing they did with âfake newsâ.
