Yeah this sounds like one of those right wing internet hoaxes to me. Iâm from Oklahoma and thereâs nothing silent or personal about the prayer at the football games. Some local official goes out on the field before kickoff and leads the prayer over the PA system.

Itâs already been remarked on, but we should dwell for a moment on the logic of what Lankfordâa rightwing nutjob from OK who has been a very reluctant participant in the congressional inquiry into Trump-Russia --is saying. He is signaling that Trump is stoking up a controversy inimical to the interests of the USA in concert with Russia. If this senator is starting to worry, that is a significant development.
And itâs also significant that the Trump presidentialâas distinct from the electoralâplaybook clearly involves (1) starting cultural wars, that (2) enjoy continued Russian support. We already knew (1). We were not really aware of (2).
