Discussion for article #227301

Gardner pretty much thinks the voters are just as dumb as HE is.

Another Gov. Bob McDonnell, too good to be true while running from his past.

He also touts his support for over the counter contraceptives after previously supporting “personhood for zygotes” legislation.

“(Gardner) introduced the legislation in good faith in order to do something,” Tom Plant, who oversaw the entity, told the Post. But he added that the law “made it impossible for us to ever issue bonds.”

so he could not even write a bill that could be implemented.

Well, I remember Gardner a year or so ago in a town hall in his district, claiming to a bunch of fairly conservative types, that the government does not create jobs. The audience looked very confused and one old guy said bluntly, “Sure it does, Congressman. It does it all the time.”

Gardner’s handlers glossed over that little bit of ‘wisdom’ like a house painter working on a bad spot.

He’s also surfing a pretty lame anti-ACA ad these days. Doesn’t have the stones to call for repeal (Rove’s ad does), but holds up a cancellation notice in front of a folksy country home with a strategically planted US flag in the background. It’s scary that he’s in striking distance of Udall, at least for now. The guy is a hopeless prop.

…an intended consequence of dumbing down Americans…

dumbass pols being elected by dumber ass constituents…

Passing a green energy law that in 5 years did absolutely nothing to create green energy. Yep. Sounds like a typical Republican plan. One that was followed by excuses and more excuses for why it failed. Maybe because it was never intended to work towards creating serious solutions in the first place. Just a thought…

Disclosure: I live in Colorado. Hilarious that Gardner is now portraying himself as Mr. Green, a virtual tree-hugger. He knows he has no chance of winning if he presents himself accurately according to his statements and actions over the last five years.

That may have been an intended feature of the law, not a careless flaw. Otherwise, the Colorado legislature had five years to fix it before repealing the law entirely.

They are. At least the ones that vote for him.
