Discussion for article #228266
At one point, Stokols said to Gardner: âItâs more convenient for you to say itâs not a personhood bill. But does saying that make it true?â
âIâm not going to defend Sen. Udallâs failed record,â Gardner said in reply.
So itâs Udallâs record that made him sponsorâŚerrrâŚI mean not sponsor this personhood bill? LOL.
Nice dodge though
Hopefully Udall will hammer him on this. Gardner seems to be very etcha-sketchy here.
Itâs not a âpersonhoodâ bill because itâs called something else. Itâs easy to deny that youâve done something if you can simply give that action youâre accused of doing a different name.
âI didnât steal it, your honor, I appropriated it.â or âI didnât kill him, your honor, I simply amended his lifespan.â See! Itâs easy when you get to call something whatever you want.
âPolitiFact rated Democratic claims that the bill would ban all abortions as âhalf trueâ â not because it isnât a âpersonhood billâ (the news outlet referred to it that way), but because some allowances could be made in cases where the motherâs life is at risk, depending on a courtâs interpretation if it became lawâ
PolitiFact rated Democratic claims that the bill would ban all abortions as âhalf trueâ â not because it isnât a âpersonhood billâ (the news outlet referred to it that way), but because Politifact is dishonest and constantly searching for ways to fabricate an excuse for equivocating about a Teatrollâs blatant lying and.or Dems calling them out on it.
FIFY
Brass tacks: Politifact is more concerned with protecting an imaginary reputation for objectivity by manufacturing the appearance of being âfair and balancedâ than it is with simply stating the objective fucking truth. âObjectivityâ does not mean âI always find a way to make both sides sound equally legitimate.â The reality is, deliberately manufacturing false equivalence is a form of biasâŚperhaps the most insidious formâŚand it runs rampant throughout the MSM and fourth estate because ad revenue is the exalted arbiter of truth.
politifiction is such a joke. who runs that clown circus?
Who are you going to believe, me or my lying congressional record?
"The federal proposal in question simply states that life begins at conception, as most pro-life Americans believe, with no change to contraception laws "
Oh sure - this is just some symbolic - inconsequential - âproclamationâ to simply recognize the philosophical beliefs of the anti-choice crowd ⌠yeah sure ⌠it wouldnât change anything ⌠what a load of fecal matter!!!
âIâm not going to defend Sen. Udallâs failed record, Gardner said in reply.â
A substitute in denial of a lie is as good as a lie.
Smarmy style of arguing âŚ
'Iâm not going to talk about the banks that Cory Gardner has robbed "
Stepping like a stepper. Jesse Helms would be proud of him.
Fortunately I live in Colorado and will have the honor and privilege to vote against this fraudulent wind bag. Gardner is the perfect representative from the party of no. He doesnât have the cojones to stand up for his own record and behavior; his entire campaign is based on manufacturing âfailuresâ to attribute to Obama and Udall.
I believe Bill Cosby already explained this thoroughly (as with oh so many things):
But I much prefer that painting over thereâŚ
(Glasses clink)
Gardnerâs entire campaign is shaking the etch-a-sketch. If he stood up for his record he knows he would be trounced in the statewide election. He won seat in the House from a conservative district in Colorado running as a Tea Party hero. Statewide he wouldnât stand a chance and so his entire campaign is based on fraud.
We are Republicans. We accept responsibility for nothing! Nothing! What part of that donât you people get?! Nothing! There is no way in hell or on earth we will ever accept responsibility for anything! Just shut up and vote for us! We are the party of virtue, courage, and personal responsibility, for crap sake!
In addition to being a bald-faced liar, Gardner is also monumentally stupid and proud of it.
A Republican trifecta.
Itâs Chinatown. âI sponsored it!â SLAP âI didnât sponsor itâ SLAP âThere is a Personhood Billâ SLAP âThere is no Personhood Billâ SLAP
Why do I get the idea that another Politifact rant is in Rachelâs future? Iâll be watching!
PolitiFact? Really? Have they ever been right on anything? NO.
Great job by the reporter in not backing down on the Federal personhood bill. Gardnerâs repeated efforts to change the subject are laughable.
A couple of weeks ago, a local NBC reporter asked him why he continued to support the Federal personhood bill and Gardner just said, âtheyâre not the same.â Is it possible heâs so immersed in the talking points his staff has given him that he really doesnât know the truth about that Federal bill?
Months ago, right after his convenient election-year flip-flop, he said he didnât realize the state personhood bill would outlaw certain forms of birth control. A Denver Post editor on a local news show said, essentially, âBaloney.â That issue was pointed out to him repeatedly over the years.
